My wife and I were staying in the next village over and walked over for some food! We had a great experience, and probably our best meal of our entire holiday. My curry of the day was to die for, and I would return in an instant! My wife had the fish and chips which was a good as ever. If we didn’t live in the US, we would return ASAP! Thank you for a warm place and some delicious food.

Had an amazing meal here. My wife's Turkey dinner looked delicious, it was served with roast potatoes, mixed vegetables, roast parsnips, mashed potatoes and a cranberry stuffing ball. The Turkey was moist and a generous portion. I opted for the pie. There was a choice of steak and ale or pheasant and red wine. I had the pheasant and again this didn't disappoint. The staff we really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Staying nearby on holiday, we easily booked a table to eat online in advance. Brilliantly friendly owner as we arrived early to play some pool (dedicated games room!), there's a good choice of ales and wines, and a wide food menu including specials. The food was absolutely amazing - brilliantly home cooked with plenty to eat. We sat near to the fire in the lovely decorated main room. Would highly recommend. If you were planning to eat at the weekend take note of the kitchen times and it's probably worth booking ahead a lot of tables were reserved when we visited (early Saturday evening)!

Popped in for Sunday lunch after a walk today.
Very friendly staff.
The beef brisket was incredible. Generous portions and we were too stuffed for a desert.
Wife had to bring half her vegetable pie back home.
Highly recommended

We stayed nearby and walked in mainly due to its proximity and it ended up being such a lovely experience. They had pheasant casserole on as a special and it was so delicious! One of the best meals I had out in a while. The service by the young guy at the bar was great too. Highly recommend for some delicious homely food.

The food is ridiculously good. One of the best lamb dishes I have ever had. Lovely warm cosy pub. Just a perfect evening.

The chef doesn't realise how good she is!
