We went for lunch on a Sunday after being given a voucher by some very kind friends.
The food was excellent, I would go as far as saying some of the best food I have had. Perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. The staff are all friendly and attentive, amazing service.
As others have said its a lovely pub with a wonderful atmosphere, we were lucky to be seated by the open fire which only enhanced the atmosphere.
The only negative about the whole visit was due to 2 couples seated behind us. 2 of the party were loud and obviously oblivious to those around them, they sadly got louder the more they drank. This was no fault of the owners, although hopefully those people will read this and hopefully be more considerate in future.
Apart from this, an excellent experience and very reasonably priced, I would happily have paid more.
We will definitely be back.

Never thought any pub could knock my long-term No 1 favourite country pub off its perch, but The Butchers Arms has, and with plenty to spare. The atmosphere, excellent food, the welcome, service, Deya on tap, the artwork, everything is wonderful. Proves that a pub in the middle of nowhere can survive when you do the right things very well. Bravo!

Cosy atmosphere with excellent food, service was attentive but not intrusive. Saturday evening meal, haddock goujons very tasty, Gloucester old spot chop was melt in the mouth. Dessert was delicious pana cotta with rhubarb 👌🏼
Finished with Irish coffee. Country pub fine dining- recommended

AMAZING! We stayed away for a few nights in October and booked this as our top find for our special Saturday night evening meal. We were not disappointed! Everything was amazing, from the welcoming staff, great atmosphere, beautiful quaint interior to the 'out of this world' delicious food.... it was the perfect evening. We love eating out throughout the country when we stay away and this is now in our all time top places. Highly recommended and we would love to eat here again.

Absolutely lovely country pub with friendly staff, great atmosphere and excellent food!
My duck wasn't that pink because I asked for it that way, and it was excellent.
We may even consider coming to stay in their annex some weekend, we'll definitely be back to eat again. 🙂

Fabulous find for a birthday lunch. Beautiful old pub with outstanding food, a great wine menu and real ale and cider on cask.

The service is terrific and personal, the atmosphere was very much of a local village pub with a classy edge. This place is a real find and one we will visit many times now we’ve found it. I almost didn’t do a review because I wanted to keep it a secret it’s that good. It’s everything a great British country pub should be.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Stopped here for dinner whilst on business and it was delightful. Wonderful service and the standard of cooking and quality of ingredients used was tip-top!
