Liked: Nice location with clean pods nice clean toilet and shower blocks with access to laundry.

Disliked: Feels like it is only set up to take as much money as possible off travelers/ fishing with not a lot offered in return. Not welcoming to fishing with questionable advice given on site. Very poor amenities. No shop after 5 pm unless 30 miles round trip

If you're looking for a really peaceful getaway in stunning surroundings, this is the perfect place. Lots of great walks nearby offering incredible views of Loch Awe and incredible wildlife to see also. The cabin was extremely comfortable and kept to a high standard with everything you need for your stay.

We stayed in the Rowan 21B log cabin, and it was absolutely perfect!! It was very spacious, had so much natural light, had all the amenities that you needed (eg pots & pans, glasses, cleaning supplies). The hot tub was perfect and was very private compared to others we noticed as we walked around. ||We opted for an electric hot tub, which sounded like the best option! We heard that it can take up to 6hrs to heat up the wooden hot tubs, so we would definitely recommend the electric! ||The location was lovely, as it was so quiet being next to the lochside and in the middle of a forest! There’s so much natural wildlife on your doorstep too, and forest walks you can do. There’s also a little coffee shop about a 2 minute walk from the site, and it’s so lovely there! We recommend the hot chocolates (these were the best we have ever had!). Staff were super friendly there and the prices were so reasonable. ||If you want to venture out to the more popular destinations such as Fort William, Glencoe, Glenfinnan etc, then be prepared for quite a long drive, but if this does not bother you (like us) then we would say it’s perfect. ||There were so many little things that were so cute about the log cabin, such as the guitar on the wall which was a lovely addition and we played this during our stay, and the guest book which was so cool to read and see where others had travelled from to come here. ||It was such a perfect holiday, and we will absolutely be returning again! Couldn’t have asked for a friendlier service, a serene location, spacious cabin and perfect stay!

One of the best mini breaks we’ve had!
Cabin was beautiful - had everything we needed, log burner in the cabin! Lovely little essentials provided.
So many places to visit whilst we were here.
Little decking area was lovely to sit out on in a morning.
Plus I had my dog! The grounds were nice to walk around in the mornings.
Plenty of bins provided around the establishment.

Liked: Our second time at the pods and no complaints. Had a brilliant night in the community club, everyone was welcoming and spoke to us. Pods themselves are clean, neat and it was cosy with our bedding through the night. The view is amazing as well.

Disliked: Would have preferred some gripper mats on the decking due to how icy it was and being 7 months pregnant. And potentially some cutlery available in the pod.

Liked: Location and view

Disliked: Distance and difficulty to go to the toilet/showers, especially in the night. It did not feel clean, the surfaces felt somewhat sticky like they hadn’t been washed properly for some time and had only been wiped over by a solution.

Liked: Nice cozy place, nice pod with a fridge , microwave and kettle.

Disliked: Shower - limited time for extra fee
Toilet- if you need a toilet at night, it is annoying to walk there
Midges- horrible staff. Take spray and face net
