Attended a wedding here in October. The pub area was lovely and clean and although I didn't stay here I heard the rooms were lovely.||The function room was so nicely done and the staff were such a highlight of the whole day. I don't really remember any names but the bar manager and young woman who were around till the end were an absolute pleasure to talk with and be served by. A ton of effort was put in by the hotel/pub and I couldn't fault anything, the service was 10/10.

Having recently move to Sleaford we popped in to have a drink and a nose around. Staff very friendly and helpful a d whilst we only had a drink on this occasion we had a look at the menus and we will certainly return for a meal soon. The covered Courtyard was lovely.

It’s always a concern when any hospitality venue changes hand. That’s what’s happened here, with the previous owners having moved on after around 25 years. |I needn’t have worried though. Many of the staff have stayed on to continue providing the excellent service that I have always enjoyed at this small but perfectly formed hotel.|The same comfortable bedrooms (number 31 this time), which are clean, nicely decorated, well maintained and reasonably spacious. The furniture is dated, but in keeping with the old school vibe of the rest of the hotel.|The excellent breakfast can’t be faulted. I ate in on my last evening, the pasta dish was freshly prepared and oh so tasty. |The hotel bar is in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, again.|All the staff are friendly, helpful and completely professional. Megan, who is now the “Captain of the good ship Carre Arms” has a great crew working with her. Recommended.

I booked a function room here for my partner’s birthday celebrations. |Megan was brilliant, she made suggestions to save us money and couldn’t do enough for us. |On the day, the room was set up beautifully. |The staff were kind, polite and attentive all evening. |The food was excellent and many guests commented on the quality of the meat and salad dishes. |The wine wasn’t silly money (I was paying for it for all guests).||We and several of our guests booked hotel rooms for the night as well. |Yes, the rooms might be a little dated, but I found them comfortable, well appointed and spacious. |Breakfast was great and staff again were very attentive. ||I would book another event there, would definitely stay again and my partner and I eat in the restaurant when we are in the area. ||Thanks Megan for making g my partner’s special evening do good.

We all went here for our Sunday dinner. It's probably the best place in the area for a Sunday roast. Three of us had beef, and the other had roast pork. We all agreed on how well the meat was cooked. Very soft and tender. The meal was accompanied by a bowl of vegetables, and there was enough to go around. The only minor issue I have here is that if you want mashed potatoes, then it is offered as an extra. Personally, I feel it should be included as standard. But all in all the meal was very good. We all agreed that it's better when the dinner is served to your table as opposed to queuing with a ticket while someone serves you an adult version of a school dinner.
Whilst we all raved about how good the dinners were, the puddings were a bit of a disappointment. I had bannoffe pie. ( As described on the menu) it was actually a bannoffe tart. Served with a small jug of cream. There wasn't a lot of flavour to it, and it certainly never had much of a banana flavour. I would have much rather had a traditional type of this pudding.
My friend had the lemon tart with ice
cream. He said it was OK, but nothing special. The only one who was happy was my girlfriends mum, who had the rice pudding. She said it was very nice.
So ,mixed feelings on the overall experience. But we will all be back even if it's just for the main meal.

Decent sized double glazed rooms, Victorian building close to Sleaford railway station. Friendly staff, good food, some decent real ale on hand pumps, fairly good wine selection. In a reasonably quiet spot (although you can hear trains quietly arriving and departing Sleaford station at slow speed (clunk clunk, clunk clunk). It would be nice to see some 'destination' electric vehicle chargers at the hotel for guests and visitors that arrive in electric vehicles - The rear car park layout would easily lend itself for a decent number of 7kW single phase charging outlets (at least 6 very easily, physically - This would require 2 x 100A 230Vac 50Hz grid supplies to implement).

Hotel was convenient to Train Stn & Town. Staff friendly & helpful.|Sunday dinner was very tasty, choice of continental breakfast or cooked for a small charge.|There was plenty of outside seating and a bonus as the weather was great|We would not hesitate in staying again in the future.
