I visited today with my husband and two children. We had Sunday lunch and it was beautiful! I have been before and thought the staff were very nice and attentive and today did not disappoint! The food was amazing , one top chef!!
The girls behind the bar are friendly and attentive once again. We are visiting for the Santa lunch so cant wait!
Lovely staff makes a huge difference!

Really lovely pub. We have had food here a few times now and cannot fault the place. The food was amazing, they are doggy friendly and brought out treats and water for our dog. The staff are friendly and professional. Overall a great place for food, drinks and a get together with friends.

We recently had a baby shower at The Cartologist, and they couldn't have done anything more to make the day go smoothly.
The staff, the food,the garden room and the service was all excellent.
And a extra special thank you to Beth for all your help before hand, and during the event.
We would definitely use again and recommend highly .

Nice Staff....ridiculously high price for a simple beer. Atmosphere was stark, very few customers, wooden chairs, and the only comfortable seats were in darkness with a speaker belting out above. We only went because it was dog friendly....that's true.....but it needs to be customer friendly too!

Sunday lunch…
Decided to try Sunday lunch without a reservation. Tables were available as we arrived late afternoon. Not sure if busy previously.
Parking was fine but you have to pay, only free for permit holders.
Atmosphere was quiet and the staff very friendly.
Menu was limited. There was beef, pork belly, chicken thighs and a vegetarian option. Belly pork was unavailable. Never seen chicken thighs as a main on a Sunday dinner before. Personally I dislike so was disappointed.
The food arrived in good time.
The potatoes seemed over cooked or hot plated so didn’t taste good. The vegetables were nice but over garnished with dried thyme which was annoying as kept having to pick it out of my mouth.
The desert menu was predictable to other restaurants, however there were 2 options for cheesecake, one being rhubarb cheesecake which seemed strange.
Overall I thought the meal was good but nothing special.
Prices are high considering the quality of food

Popped in for lunch with my wife and dog , lovely environment very friendly staff and dog friendly with dog menu , Dakota had sausage and burger. Myself and with had a 2 course special which was very nice and only £15 each bargin !! Would definitely recommend 5 star 🌟

We came today for a Sunday lunch, we had a beef dinner and the chicken, the beef was exceptionally undercook and the chicken was raw, when we sent the chicken back we were sent a replacement meal which was sausage and mash, the sausages were freezing cold and looked also rather undercooked. The dinners received were all cold and inedible. However the staff were helpful and really pleasant

We had a lovely visit to this charming hotel. The room was light brightly and warm. The beds were awesomely cosy even if the pillows did give us. But if a run around. Couldn’t have asked for a better sleep. Can’t comment on the breakfast as it wasn’t available until 10 am and we had to leave before we could partake. The coffee is great and the staff so lovely
