If you've never had a beer in the castle? Then you're probably under 20 or new to the town. A great mix of people found there, a relaxed and fun bar. In the summer, you have the added outdoor area. If you are tired of high street bars, take a walk down to this pub. A great 'starting' bar on a pub crawl too.

Beautiful building in the heart of Bedford.
Lovely inside too and a quirky back garden/smoking area, retaining original features and low ceilings. Its not ample but lovely a cushy.

Me and my Partner went to this pub to watch England v Wales in the six Nations Rugby 🏉. it was a lovely pub, good service, and the atmosphere was really good. it is a traditional pub. They do food, however, can not comment as we didn't eat. The Guinness was first class . highly recommend a visit. only a few minutes from the high Street and river in Bedford.

Rooms are simple but clean however can be a bit cool. Heating doesn’t seem to quite keep up with the cold weather. Staff in the pub are very friendly and helpful. Great location with large private parking.
