Jumped off the East Coast train to run a works meeting online. The Castle had just opened at midday and I asked if there was anywhere quiet I could sit and do my call.
The very kind bar lady let me use their lovely meeting room free of charge!
I bought a soft drink and made sure my tip covered more than just the drink!

Did my work then jumped on the next train.

Absolutely fantastic service….. Thank you!

Great service and welcome from Jo and her team. We had booked most of the hotel for a golf society and could choose from singles, doubles or family rooms which was very convenient. We requested a small meeting room at short notice which was provided allowing us to hold a quiz night and team build. Breakfast was great- good choice, cooked to order but no long wait! Rooms were clean and spacious - showers had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Most of us parked in the station car park for free from 6pm to 8 am - just a short walk from the hotel .

Have been here several times before, and loved it, hence the return visit. However I was very disappointed this time. |1. You are supplied with only a sparse continental breakfast, having to pay extra for a cooked one and have to order the day before. |2. My room was never serviced during a 3 night stay. Would have liked fresh towels on the third day and the tea tray replenished. |3. The staff didn’t seem as friendly and helpful as on previous visits. |Plus points: it’s very handy for the railway station, bus stops and within walking distance of all of that beautiful Berwick has to offer. |I will be back!

Too vague a description and Hilton prices n accommodation.|“Breakfast included “. |Unless you study the hotels website in fine details what would be expected was a full English not a continental breakfast. |The full English was not included but could have been bought separately. |The “continental “ from experience is croissants, pastries, cheeses and cold cut meats. |NOT cereal, bread for toasting, yoghurt and bananas. |£165 for one night is Hilton prices. |I know I’m a member. |We were in Berwick for a family birthday. |Pluses though. |Location. The bar. Cleanliness. Lovely staff. |The room was very clean. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom and shower huge.

cheap hotel but poorly staffed and room i stayed in was terrible. Room was tiny, had no windows and bathroom was about 3ft wide. This should not be regarded as a room. Other rooms in hotel looked far better than mine. ||Breakfast was a mess, reception had failed to inform kitchen i had paid for cooked breakfast so was an unnecessary delay and hassle. When it arrived it was clearly a reheat as everything was horribly salty. ||All in all a poor but cheap stay and would not recommend.

Excellent dog friendly hotel, just across the road from the train station and bus stops|We had a family room with extra large double bed and a single bed.|Huge room, immaculately clean, bright, spacious and well decorated and maintained. Bay windows overlooking train station and river.|Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. Hot food cooked to perfection. |Perfect location, literally yards from shops, bars and restaurant. And 10-15 minute walk to nearest beach.|Very pleasant and helpful staff throughout. |We took our dog with us and were given a room just off the restaurant so that she could sit with us for breakfast!|I would highly recommended this hotel.|It was our first stay here, but won't be our last!

I would have given 5 stars for service for the first 20 hours of my experience due to the friendly welcome, letting me leave my bags at reception until check in time, the helpful advice regarding local attractions and carrying my bags up to my room due to disability. I was booked in for 3 nights but left after the first night due to a sudden turn of events; the way I was spoken to the next day, the mis-communication between staff members and false accusations which caused everything to go sour. I felt so uncomfortable staying there I literally left after the first night. ||Regarding the comfort of the room everything was very good considering the star quality of this hotel. A nice big bathroom and comfortable bed. Clean and tidy. It’s an old English building so it has that kind of a vibe. It’s called a hotel but it’s more like a pub and a restaurant with rooms. I spoke to a local person when I was there and he felt the same and feels calling it a hotel is misleading, I’d say it was more like staying at an Inn. ||Breakfast staff very friendly. ||I was in a room directly above an active public bar that played constant music, facing onto a main busy road. If you go to bed after 11pm you’ll be fine with a peaceful night’s sleep once the bar closes and the traffic quietens down but if you need to rest during the day or go to bed early this room is not ideal due to the amount of noise. I’m guessing other rooms might be quieter at the other end of the building and the one’s facing onto the quieter road at the back. ||I have never stayed anywhere in my life where my holiday was cut short because I never felt comfortable there any more. I literally arrived on day and went home the next!!!!! A holiday I’d been looking forward to for a while ended up turning into a disaster. Due to having health and mobility problems this was a very challenging experience for me.

Our 2nd time here in 2 months. Dog friendly..both couples had a dog. Fantastic location, ideal for mainline train station and buses to Scotland! Eyemouth worth a visit.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived at 1pm and had arranged to leave luggage, but rooms were ready so could book in 3 hours early, which was a bonus!
Immaculate rooms, very spacious with lovely comfy beds.Excellent freshly cooked breakfasts. We ate in a separate room to restaurant, so that our dogs could be with us for breakfast. Absolutely perfect hotel if you're bringing your dog with you. Would highly recommend this hotel and we'll be back soon.
