Had an overnight stay at this lovely little guesthouse on way home from Northumberland to Devon. Could have quite happily stayed another few nights. The family room we had was huge! Comfy, modern and everything you could need. Simon was a fabulous host and breakfast (included in the price) was delicious with a great choice. Nothing was too much trouble for Simon. Highly recommended & we will definitely be back when we’re passing this way again

Simon always looks after us and nothing is too much trouble. The place is always clean, spacious and really good value for money. Great communication, easy booking and a joy to visit. I have stayed here on numerous occasions (over the years) and it’s very well placed for Ashby town centre. The breakfasts are really good and “family style” would definitely recommend the cedars.

Great location, just a short walk into the town with lovely grounds and garden.. We stayed overnight en route further north and it's a great stopover. Try Little India for dinner! Friendly owner, very clean. Spacious room with a big double and a single. Comfy mattress and pillows. Good bedside light. Cute jars for tea etc to save on plastic. Nice breakfast, well cooked and excellent coffee. Super value and wld stay again. To make it a five stars rating, it would be great to have the following. 1. Better curtains or a blind at windows to give privacy. 2. Decor updated or made a bit more cheerful.

Thank you to the warm welcome received by Simon at his clean, well maintained and handily located Guesthouse, only a short walk into Ashby town.
En suite Bathrooms especially nicely finished.
A tasty cooked breakfast served in a cute dining room, that was included in the price.
An enjoyable stay, most definitely recommended.

When we arrived as a large bike ride group, soaking wet and exhausted, the guys at Cedars were amazing - helping us sort all of our kit and then even providing a clothes drying service. And breakfast the next day was super delicious, with lovely coffee too. It really is service with a smile.

Visiting the area for the first time found Cedars online. Lovely stay - cosy, comfortable rooms, warm welcome and a great breakfast. Dog friendly too. Simon is a great host and able to give advice on where to visit and eat out. Lovely surroundings. Well worth a visit and we intend going back

Excellent guest house with a great host, comfy room, excellent shower, fabulous quiet location and ample parking. All round a great find. Stayed overnight whilst revisiting friends and seeing a show in Burton. If the weather had been better we could have also enjoyed the lovely garden. Would stay again.

Just got back from a lovely stay over at The Cedars. ||My husband and I stayed here as it was just a 15 minute drive to the Staunton Harold Artisan Show, where we were exhibiting.||The owner is very friendly and couldn't be more helpful, providing us a delicious cooked breakfast earlier than the other guests so we could get to the show on time.||We had a ground floor room, which was lovely and spacious, with the added bonus of saving us lugging 3 heavy suitcases upstairs. ||It's only a short walk into town which is ideal. ||Parking on site and a lovely garden too.||We'll be back for the show next year, and will definitely be staying here again!
