A delightful little place right next to the Chapel. Very friendly satff and very clean and tidy surroundings.
Coffee superb - best I've had in the UK so far! Food was very nice but cooked breakfast let down by the fact it was served on a cold plate which rapidly cooled down the food. Warm your plates please! Wife felt her avacado on toast didn't have any flavour.
Otherwise you would have received 5 stars.

The Chapel seems a very interesting place with lots of activities through the week. Cafe seems over priced and member of staff could of done with a triple expresso to give her some zip.
Hot chocolate was barely Luke warm.

So disappointed that this is twice now that the food has been terrible here. The last time was my breakfast toast was burnt and bacon sausages over cooked. I asked for fried egg and I got scrambled. Bacon was really thin and cheap. And I felt it was extremely over priced. My friends sausage sandwich was terrible, the bread was hard and dry and the sausages in the sandwich was so small.
The second visit my friends avocado on toast was burnt toast on both pieces. Didn’t think they cared that much in terms of customer service. My friends, daughters kids pasta was so small and you could clearly see she wasn’t a small kid and would eat larger portions. No offer of any condiments. Pretty rubbish really. I live opposite to this cafe and I am so disappointed that’s this is what the food and service is like. Also very overpriced.

Never been here before. Booked a pottery class with an independent business that used Graylingwell chapel facilities. Arrived an hour early to utilize the on site cafe. Yes it was 12.30pm on a Saturday but boy they couldn't cope. Ordered 2 drinks, 2 mains & 2 cakes. Got told 25 minute wait, which was ok as we'd have enough time to eat before our class at 1.30pm. well.....15 mins after ordering we still hadn't received 2 drinks or cakes ...went to ask if all of our order was on a delay ..got told they were busy, which I could see, but surely if there's 2 people on the till/orders then prioritise drinks perhaps. Got drinks & cakes 5 minutes after asking making that a 20 mins wait from order. Then.....it got to 1.15pm....45 mins after ordering food.... nothing....asked again & explained we'd no time now to eat before our class.....our food no where near ready....asked for a refund of the hot food (poached egg on toast & Mac cheese....surely not cooked from scratch ?). Got an apology & was glad I'd ordered cakes otherwise we'd of had nothing. Don't get me wrong, the staff were running about like headless chickens, but clearly there's no manager in charge or idea how to run a cafe. Obviously as never been before, can't comment if it's like this in the week & despite looking up the cafe times before we arrived (online says 9am-5pm), got told food stops at 3pm (as we'd asked if we could defer our hot food until after our class ended at 3.30pm). So....whilst waiting for my refund, which couldn't go back on my card, it had to be cash, this was now 1.25pm, another person was being told it was over an hour's wait for food, he was not impressed & said forget it so therefore it was a no sale. So when we return on the 18/11, I was going to suggest a hot drink, but I think I'll have one before I go ?.

EDIT: Manager of the cafe contacted me to apologise for the above visit being substandard. She offered a voucher to use on my next visit, which is not what I was after, I was simply reviewing the cafe when I attended, so I politely declined. My next visit was on 9/12/23 to collect the Xmas decs we had made with Chisel pottery on my previous visit. I was recognised as the somewhat disgruntled customer & offered an explanation of extra visitors due to the pottery class & the weather being somewhat inclement. Apparently my comments have been taken onboard & further events have added "leave enough time to order & eat" before the event starts.

A great cafe on the edge of Chichester. Breakfast is more expensive than other places but the quality is better. Proper butchers sausage streaky bacon, and the coffee was great. Lovely location in the Chapel.

I used to enjoy visiting the Chapel after being out with other members of the walking group. However, this afternoons visit was somewhat of a let down. The Chapel at the time of my visit was not busy, and yet the member of staff who took the two orders for hot and cold beverages I found to be slightly rude. My order for a full milk latte in a take away cup and extra hot, was when it arrived Luke warm and in a China mug. I informed the member of staff that I had asked for my latte to be served in a takeaway cup and to be extra hot. The member of staff took the mug away and transferred the drink into a takeaway cup then brought it out to me. The latte was still Luke warm, and when I asked for it to be made hotter, the member of staff put their finger to their mouth to hush me from talking. I find this to be very rude and not at all the way to treat a customer. Will I go back to the Chapel? Only time will tell.
