Great stay!
Beautiful historic building
The room was breathtaking (no 6), the hotel has really embraced the rich history.
Bar and restaurant is more modern, with a great selection of drink. Good quality wine selection 😃
Menu is very meat based, but the pub can cater for alternative dietary requirements.
The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.
Overall is was a faultless state and we will definitely return and recommend

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the restaurant! The food was excellent, cooked with care and authentic taste, exactly how you want when you go out to treat yourself a little. Each dish had a distinct taste, and the ingredients where well chosen and delicious.
But what really made the difference was the staff, the waiters were not only professional, but also extremely friendly and warm. We felt welcomed like among friends, and this atmosphere of hospitality made us want to come back as soon as possible.
I recommend it with all confidence to those who want to have a delicious meal in a place where you feel truly welcome!

We stayed for 1 night in a quirky twin room. The beds were super comfy, the staff were lovely and welcoming. We would definitely stay again. We didn't eat dinner there, but the food looked and smelled lovely, and breakfast was great.

We really liked this hotel. It was super convenient to everything we were interested in seeing and it itself historic. It is 800 years old and you won’t really notice that until you go up the stairs to your room - the stairs are not really level. And the floor of the room creaked a bit. But the amazing thing was that the second morning we were there the breakfast was full. I was stunned that all those people and we never heard any noise. I thought we were the only ones there.
The food is very good we had dinner the first night and the breakfast is the best we’ve had this trip.
The only issue we had was getting into the hotel. You have to go through the restaurant to check in

Stopped in for lunch while touring the town. My son and I were blown away by the rib eye. Absolutely delicious. One of the two best meals I had on this trip. And the Guinness was served with a shamrock stamp in the foam—a fun touch. My wife and daughter also raved about their meal, although what it was escapes my recollection. Probably lamb and simmering with mushrooms, respectively. Can’t go wrong eating here.

A delightful place. It retains its centuries old charm but has up to date rooms which are clean and comfortable.
The downstairs dining is outstanding with a great menu selection.
And best of all the staff are super friendly and nothing is too much bother.
Will definitely return.

Room was like a hot sauna that never cooled down. Very uncomfortable. Staff was very good except for the manager Steff. He was rude, arrogant and condescending. He should not be in a position to interact with the customers. Breakfast was good. I would not recommend this place unless you enjoy sweating and no sleep throughout your stay.

Wonderful 2 night stay. Location excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food brilliant. Very well equipped rooms: hairdryer,iron,ironing board, water, tea,coffee, lovely toiletries,fluffy towels,Egyptian cotton sheets, free standing roll top bath, powerful shower. Would thoroughly recommend.
