Went for a family dog walk and stopped off here for lunch beforehand. To be honest we didn’t have very high expectations as the menu looked a bit plain - however I’m glad to say we were very pleasantly surprised! All of the food was excellent - the soup was delicious, the burgers were succulent and tasty, the chips were perfectly cooked. The pale ale was also fantastic. The macaroni cheese side dish was massive and very tasty. Every single one of our group of 6 was very happy with our food and we left full and very satisfied!

We went in a family party of 11 for dinner to celebrate my special birthday. The menu isn't huge unless you want a burger but everyone in our group loved the food. My husband said the true blue burger was wonderful and among the best he's had. My risotto was wonderful. The service was efficient and the prices as we would expect for the type of food. Nice pub, good location, lovely outside areas for the sunny evening and children's area. We will definitely have to go back.

Food was nice, but I think the menu could have had a bit more on the vegetarian/vegan side.
Maybe it's because we visited on a Sunday, but there was not a great deal on V / VG. I don't like goats cheese (my choice) and I can't eat falafel in case it's spicy (I am extremely intolerant to anything spicy) which left me with the mushroom bolognese. I'm not a fan of mushrooms either, but luckily I couldn't actually taste them in it! Everyone else in the group enjoyed their meal, it's just my food intolerance that make eating out hard.

Grabbed a quick dinner, pretty good. Pub was very quiet (around 8pm). Pleasant effective service, decent range on menu, with some mains offered in 2 sizes for those with smaller appetites. Good selection of desserts. Great location next to Bath racecourse. Ample parking.

Lovely location and helpful staff. Room is clean and tidy. Breakfast is at 8.30 which is slightly late for us but overall very nice.

Had a meal with the family the other day, the food was great and they dealt with allergies really kindly.
Great beer and very good service.
Prices were above places like Hungry Horse, but that's fine because the difference in quality is night and day.
Play area out the back.
Right by the race course and country walks.
A few more accessible parking spaces would be good.

I’d never been here before and was looking forward to it as the reviews are great. We booked for Sunday lunch, only to turn up and be told they had run out of the veggie option. The server did apologise and offered the roast without the main part. I appreciate the thought but there’s no way they would offer the meat version without the meat. If it says Sunday lunch is served until 6pm, they really should have enough options until that time. Hugely disappointing, especially having booked in advance.

Good little hotel on main road into Bath, with views of the Racecourse and open countryside.
Food really good. We had a pleasant night stay in the annex rooms. Clean and tidy. Watch out for heavy sliding door into en-suite and dodgy extract fan. Otherwise all good ?
