The Clarendon - Dundee

Stayed for three nights in the loft. The room was super cute, well-equipped, clean, and quiet. The room has charm of the original building with modern improvements and style. Access to the building and room is by code which is pretty convenient to not need to carry a key or card.

Communication from the hotel was top-notch with clear instructions and even an app to access hotel info without cell data. The staff was around when we checked in and he showed us to our room and gave us some great restaurant recommendations which are also available on the app.

The location was great for us. We walked to downtown Dundee from here which was 20-30 min walk. There are three dedicated parking spots for hotel guests and plenty of free street parking.

On top of everything, the rate was very reasonable.

High quality comfort at the Clarendon, with easy access, easy parking, great communication, lovely light, comfortable and bright room with view over the river. The self check-in and Alexa worked really well, and we also had a personal welcome from Kenny who was extremely helpful, giving advice about places to eat and visit. The Dundee cake was absolutely delicious. We ate at the Italian restaurant (Piccolo) and the Mexican (Mas), both serving tasty food and within easy walking distance, lots of other choice too, and also if you want breakfast. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, but we walked into the centre of Dundee (took about 30 minutes slowly) and visited the Waterfront including the V&A, but our favourite place was the McManus Art Gallery & Museum, a real surprise both in terms of the art and the building itself. It was one of the most beautiful stays on our trip through Scotland. It's an elegant, well-designed, superbly thought-out little apartment, with super-intelligent AI. You can see and feel the heart and soul of the property. The superb location and valuable restaurant tips make the stay a real experience! 🩷

Stayed here as a family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers, excellent experience and will definitely return. The communications before and during our stay were very informative and helpful, rooms very well equipped, very clean and spacious. Great location with excellent transport links which made getting around Dundee easy with the kids. Host was there to great us and could not have been more welcoming and helpful, very good experience all round and would recommend to anyone for their stay in Dundee.

A top quality West End Hotel. ||I was really impressed with The Clarendon. Very easy to find, free parking all round, and the rooms are exceptionally clean and bright. ||Kenny is a very friendly, chatty host, who clearly takes a great deal of pride in his establishment. ||I'll definitely be back.

Extremely clean and well equipped. We were a party of four adults and a baby and we throughly enjoyed our stay. There is parking on the street at the front and space around the back of the building. We had plenty of help on hand if we needed it too.

My favourite place to stay when visiting friends in Dundee. It's a great combination of old and ultra modern.

Always super friendly and helpful, rooms are always spotless and packed full of as much tech as you could want, or you can ignore it and go check out all the great pubs and restaurants all within walking distance.

Highly recommended.
