Had a family birthday lunch on 26 October. Made very welcome and offered drinks and shown to our table. Sadly we were the only ones dining. Service was excellent as was the meal of venison fillet for 2 of us and chicken for the other two. All meals served on a bed of roasted vegetables and we were offered more green veg. Sauce with all meals was delicious. Dessert were also excellent and varied. Our table was in a sunny position overlooking the countryside. Altogether a special experience. Would highly recommend the Cliffe Hotel at Dinham.

We had a lovely Sunday roast here. The service was quick and all the food was delicious. There wasnโ€™t really a comfortable area for sitting before/after the meal - like a โ€˜cosyโ€™ bar area or anything. But everything else was lovely!

This was our 5th stay at this hotel, (over a 6 year period). ||This time around we were allocated room 4. We were disappointed in its run down feel with some dated and damaged furniture. The shower area is very small and the radiator in the bathroom was leaking. To cap it all our room was directly above the kitchens so we had to content with the noise from the extractors and smell of food.||As a returning guest we thought we might have been allocated a better room to be honest. The hotel was certainly not full when we stayed and in that respect we didn't feel valued as guests.||We like the location and the ample car parking and we have no complaints about the breakfasts (we ate out in the evenings). However, we would not stay again if we had to be located in room 4.

We had a night here with our dog and loved it. Our room was big and comfy. Breakfast was brilliant. We had an evening meal and couldn't fault it. Would definitely go again

We tried Sunday lunch. The location is very nice, just outside of Ludlow. First impressions, not a very cosy place, modern decor but feels very cold. On entering the front door you are confronted by the bar, we ate in the restaurant to the right, hard tables, hard floors, hard chairs. Just not a very warm, welcoming place. It needs some warm colours and some nice soft furnishings. Starter nice, salmon cured with lemon, roast beef for main with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables, ok but just luke warm which was a disappointment.

Have stayed here a few times but now it has been all refurbished and looks better than ever. There were a few of us we had three rooms and all had been redone since I was last here 18 months or so ago. Rooms are now much more modern with very comfortable beds and nice furniture. I might call it a restaurant with rooms as the food is excellent, both the evening meal and breakfast. We all had a variety of choices at dinner and all was very good. Good wine list and range of other drinks. Dogs seem to be allowed in the bar which is positive. Parking all very easy (compared with many places to stay in the centre of town especially). The stroll into Ludlow is only 10 mins but is itself very nice, over the river with views of the castle. Ludlow itself is of course as beautiful as ever. As one or two of the other reviews have mentioned some rooms have much better views than others, but it seems unfair on the hotel to dock points for this!

Beautiful food. Very high quality. Caters for gluten and lactose free. Location of hotel good. Room quite small, so had to put chair outside. but otherwise perfect. Only downer is that bar cannot give change when paying cash for drinks, which is quite strange. (We never have a drink at any bar that won't take cash.)
