what a gorgeous spot. went in today and the member of staff wasn't too sure what halal was or if the meat was halal (which is okay, I'm grateful she was honest about it!) so offered me a cheese + tomato toastie instead 🙂

do wish there was a staple cheese + onion toastie on the menu but would still recommend the place regardless

I've been to this little cafe quite a few times (at least enough to gather stamps for a free coffee). The people are friendly and the food is good (esp their matcha latte and GF mandarin and chocolate loaf). I like sitting outside under the canopy, listening to the birdsong and watching little blue tits flitting in and out of the reeds. Pretty darn charming.

Too hectic - don’t end up eating the food because they said it would be a 40 minute wait for a sandwich.

A beautiful setting accompanies this quiet cafe. The sandwiches have generous great tasting fillings - try the blt or the vegetarian hummus with red peppers. The bacon sarnie is the most generous i’ve ever had. A must visit stop in this beautiful corner of london.

An amazing settling for a cafe with the view of two reservoirs on either side. The former industrial building adds that little bit of charm to the place and the terrace on the roof gives the extra vantage point.
The staffs were very friendly and the coffee and poached egg breakfast were both tasty.
I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back for more.

The staff is kind and attentive, you can have a coffee while listening to the birds and overseeing the lake. I asked for a ham and cheese toastie with tomato and it was one of the best I ever had. Thank you very much!
