We had such a lovely stay here, in such an idyllic location and lovely room overlooking the river! Breakfast each morning was fab. Sarah and Berend were such lovely hosts, Sarah had great knowledge of the local area and plenty of recommendations for places to eat and visit.|Would highly recommend anyone to stay here who is looking for a quiet stay.

I have had the pleasure of staying at The Cockatrice B&B many times.||Surrounded by birdsong, owl calls and the gentle rustling of the reeds along the riverbank, I find complete tranquility here.||An easy and pleasant walk to the village, via a small ferry (50p on foot) to cross to the other side of the river, where there are lovely places to have brunch.||The Cockatrice also makes the perfect base for exploring the wonderful countryside all around as well as having easy access to the bigger towns.||I often drive to get here but the journey by train to Reedham station is very easy. About a twenty minute walk along the river. Or there are taxis.|I enjoy bringing my bicycle too - many miles of relatively flat and also very quiet roads.||The warm, convivial hospitality of hosts Sarah and Berend makes you feel at home straightaway.||The breakfasts are great too.|

Recently stayed at this B&B its such a beautiful place in the most amazing location, the hosts were very warm and welcoming and also very helpful. our room overlooked the river which was lovely, we took a walk down to the ferry which we boarded to visit the pub on the otherside which is also a lovely place to go for a meal and a drink.
I can’t fault anything about our stay here.

We booked through a buyagift voucher as we wanted somewhere near Great Yarmouth so we could explore the area. We are so glad we chose to stay here. It was lovely. An amazing view and great hosts. The bathroom is a shared bathroom but we did not have any problems. Breakfast was lovely. It was just what we wanted.

Lovely, authentic B&B experience. Beautiful location on the river, which our room had a great view of. Sarah was a lovely hostess with lots of tips for the local area. They were taking all the necessary Covid precautions very seriously. Usually a shared bathroom but we had it to ourselves because of Covid precautions which was a nice bonus. Very comfy bed too!

My room overlooked the river and was amazingly clean. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I had the place to myself, apart from the hosts areas, due to current circumstances. There is no TV in the bedroom which I promise you is a bonus, Reedham is a stunning place and the chain ferry is an experience. The hosts were attentive and the place was spotless. You couldn't find a better place for your quiet, rural break.

We had a lovely stay at this b and b. The location was stunning as were the views from the bedrooms. The breakfast was perfect. Our rooms had all we needed to relax and we were very cosy. The hosts were so kind and gave lots of local advice.

Perfect break at an idyllic location hosted by the cutest couple you can imagine. The silence of the marsh is broken only by the bird calls, barking of the water deer and rustling of reeds. Loved the five minute walk to the ferry in the evening and excellent food at the pub. Going back in the summer to make use of the quayside. Highly recommend the full breakfast.
