My brother and I spent three days at the Commodore. Both of our rooms had fantastic views across Morcambe Bay. The rooms were light and airy and very comfortable. The staff were polite and, dare I say fun! For dinner one evening we both chose haddock and chips, quite the best fish and chips I've had. A good selection of beers (well kept).
We'll be back!

One would like to say this is an excellent place to stay, it is beautiful old coaching inn but with upgraded rooms freshly painted and very clean and with a lovely view (in good weather). We had a very nice bay window to sit in. Sadly it was let down by the lack of staff or staff who were less than friendly. Two instances spring to mind. Half way through breakfast we realised we had no toast. No staff about so we knocked on the kitchen door. No response so opened it and shouted for some time. Eventually someone appeared who grudgingly made the toast, whilst stating the kitchen was closed. On leaving I was taking coats to the car prior to bringing suitcases down when I was accosted by a less than friendly young lady who tersely reminded me it was time to leave and queried who had given me permission to put food on my bill, all with a strong implication she thought I was running away. As we were bringing the cases down stairs she demanded the room key and blithely stated that she had checked that I was paying on a credit card so I could go now but without any chance of a receipted invoice (no offer to help with cases as we had enjoyed on arriving). I then had to wait one hour for the bar to open to get the said invoice E mailed to me. Why have an 11 a.m. checkout time when in theory no-one is available to process checkout until 12 noon? The bar was seemingly run by one rather more friendly but rather harassed young lady who when asked for lightbulb the night before was totally flummoxed, as there was no housekeeping available, and none appeared to do the room during our stay. The message is MORE STAFF AND BETTER MANAGEMENT FOR THIS POTENTIALLY SPLENDID ACCOMMODATION.

This well situated hotel was great for our one night stop in the town. A big car park is right next to the hotel and is chargeable. The room had everything we needed with a comfortable bed and nice views. We had a drink in the bar and was served by a very friendly bartender and saw food that was going to other tables looking very tasty. It was a good find on our behalf.

Lovely hotel. The staff are very attentive, food brilliant with good portions. The room was comfy with a wonderful view and seats in the bay window with a little table. Great for sitting and watching the world go by and the tide coming in and out with your coffee. The staff were very friendly, and we were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again.

We visited The Commodore for an evening meal because we'd been before and it had been superb.||We were cycletouring and arrived into Grange starving after a long day on the bikes looking forwards to what should have been (based on our last visit) a good meal.||It was SO disappointing. Two of us chose the "hot pot" off the specials board - a simple enough meal to make! However, what we received was certainly not hot pot. Lumps of tough, grey, diced meat swimming in brown water with a few tinned peas with it. No, potatos, no carrots nor anything else. It could be served with fries..but hotpot is sliced potatoes on top...why would I want fries with it? It was one of the most unappetising meals we've ever been unfortunate enough to have received. I spoke to the barman who sent the chef out to speak to us because I couldn't eat it...it looked and tasted awful.||The chef agreed it wasn't the best and offered to replace our meals. My husband chose the pasta marscapone which came with a Lidl (?) garlic bread. It wasn't great, but edible. I just had some fries...which were very oily and overcooked. I left 3/4 of them. The other person in our party had fish and chips which was very greasy/oily and over cooked. She ate it because she was starving but she has suffered today.||I don't know what has happened to this place. We won't be returning. ||Incidentally, the chef, when he came to collect our plates...he had been vaping at the bar. As he leant over to take the plates he was still exhaling his vape...grim! But at least he didn't charge us for the "hotpot".||Dreadful experience.

This is quite definitely the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in.
We were in the Porthole and on arrival at 16.00 we were shown straight to our room. We immediately hit our first problem. No toilet roll/towels or tea/coffee/milk. Housekeeping had overlooked it. There was crisp white linen on the bed, though unfortunately it was over a worn out sagging mattress.
The ceiling was stained, with damp patches. When I unplugged my phone charger the socket came off the wall. Staff told me it had been reported previously.
All in all, Inno Hospitality Collective Limited should be ashamed of themselves for providing such low quality accommodation at the prices they charge!!!
The staff made every effort to provide a decent experience in what must be trying circumstances, so full marks to the staff.

Good quality Pub grub which is good value given the size of portions. We went mid week so a bit quiet in the pub, which is great if you're just chatting with friends, but not buzzing if you're after atmosphere. We enjoyed our evening

Beautiful balcony to sit on whilst awaiting our lunch. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. Food had to be paid for before it is served. Prawn bisque was awful, bitter tasting and overly salty and the prawn floating in it was breadcrumb coated so was slimy in the bisque. My streak and ale pie contained three meager pieces of steak and a singular mushroom cut in half, the pastry was very thick and not cooked through. I told the unhelpful and downright rude young man what was wrong and he couldn't get away fast enough saying over his shoulder, he'd tell the chef! As we left, we passed him in the doorway and he didn't say a word, ignoring us, totally. No feedback from chef or staff. A VERY disappointing experience. |We went next door to the Filipino cafe for pudding and cafe and what a joy that was. |Do yourself a favour, walk past the Commodore and go the Cafe next door.
