We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience here. The food was outstanding – each dish perfectly crafted by the brilliant chef, showcasing both creativity and flavor. The service was equally impressive, thanks to the two male waiters who were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our visit.

The restaurant itself is lovely, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out was how accommodating the staff were, especially as we had our dogs with us – they made us feel completely at ease and well looked after.

We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-tier food, impeccable service, and a genuinely pleasant setting. We’ll definitely be returning!

Delicious as ever! We thoroughly enjoyed our birthday visit and have always loved eating The Cornish Italian pasta and tirimasu whether we’ve had it to take away or from the local food festivals they visit. This was a first time for us eating in and the ambience was lovely and authentic. We were running late after a very busy day and advised the kitchen would be closing in 15 minutes so got our order in as quickly as we could and the team went above and beyond to ensure we still had a beautiful meal - thank you so much for ensuring my mum got to try your beautiful pasta for her birthday! We will certainly be back to dine in again in future, next time we’ll make sure we are there in plenty of time! Thank you again - so yummy and such big portions we had to take away in a box to enjoy the next day.

Watched Ugo make fresh Ravioli, special for the night - tasted as good as it looked.

The Cornish Italian lives up to its fantastic reputation! The food is as authentic Italian as it comes; using fine local Cornish ingredients. Friendly Italian waiting staff welcomed us at the door as we walked in past a recent delivery of St Ewe’s Rich Yolk Eggs. The restaurant has a warm, relaxed and intriguing ambience; shelves full of lots of interesting Italian delicacies, which are available to purchase should you wish. We ordered the bruschetta to start and then - the head chef and owner - Ugo’s very own Carbonara. Both dishes were phenomenal! Ugo even made time away from his very busy kitchen to come and greet us at our table. The meal was finished with “Tiramisugo”, Ugo’s play on his father’s Tiramisu recipe. This is a delight which in the past we’d spotted and bought in Waitrose. This young entrepreneur and restaurant owner is going to go a long way! We couldn’t recommend his restaurant enough and we’ll be back for more.

Absolutely fantastic food. Delicious and authentic. Best pasta I’ve had outside of Italy. We hadn’t booked (book book book) but the restaurant accommodated us at a table outside and I’m so grateful they did because we thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Thank you.

Loved everything about The Cornish Italian! To go to a restaurant where the chef makes an effort with every table - excellent customer service! The food was absolutely incredible, the quality, the taste and even portion sizes were spot on.
Best lasagne. Best tiramisugo.

We visited the Cornish Italian for lunch today. The starter was delicious, bruschetta with parmesan and roasted tomatoes 🍅, I chose the vegetarian lasagne which I was disappointed with due to lack of vegetables and the pasta was baked hard like pastry..
We finished with their tiramisu which was totally delicious. Would return but just change up the main course..
I would have liked the option of balsamic on the table and maybe a green salad but the whole experience very nice.
A lunch time dine offer would be good.

Everything about this boutique Italian restaurant is 5 Star.
Our host Ugo and his staff were so welcoming and the wonderful aroma as you entered certainly set the scene for a great meal.
A cold Birra Moretti and Spritzer to start.
Skipped the starter as the meals are large.
Mothers recipe Lasagne and lamb ragu pasta went down a treat.
A true highlight was the shared Tiramisugo desert to finish off a wonderful evening.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
