This was an off the cuff visit while I was over on the coast visiting family, excellent service, fast and friendly staff with an excellent seating area whatever the weather. The drive to the cafe is fun as long as everyone uses the passing places properly ? definitely good value for money and quality

My Mrs and daughter have been coming here for the last few years and always rave on about the food !!
So I finally got my opportunity to go and see why they love it so much .
Well I was told when we got there the menu had changed and when the food came out so has the standard as well I paid about £15 for the burger completely not worth that we will not be going here again

We visited the Cow Shed after a good walk on Fraisthorpe Beach. There was a small queue so i grabbed a table while my Mrs sorted the food.
I had to clear the table and wipe it down , good job i carry wipes. The food was ordered and we got an electronic beeper to inform us when our order was busy, meanwhile the table next to us got cleared of the trays people left behind after eating their food. The table needed a wipe down after ,but was left with crumbs on it the whole time we were there.
the buzzer went off and my Mrs went to get the food, i could see her talking to the lady at the counter, and could see something was wrong. Anyway, my Mrs returned with a sandwich , not a baggette that i asked for. Apparently, the wrong item was put on to the order, and the lady was arguing that we got what was on the order. There wasn't enough chicken mayo to do another baggette.
It wouldn't have been too bad, but ther bread was dry. My wife got a Tuna and Cheese toastie that was cold inside , and the cheese had hardly melted. The chips were decent, thats why i gave 2 stars.
Such a shame as it's a really in a nice place to be. The toilets were clean, and the general place looked clean and tidy. More down to the staff not being that interested in doing their job. I wouldn't go back,

They used to do high quality meals but not any more. Everything expensive and poor quality. Sausage bap with long life bread no butter and cheap sausage. Coffee was sort of ok but not cheap. Tea with the cheapest teabag and a scone that left both of us with massive indigestion. Staff friendly and a nice place to shelter from the weather

Possibly the nicest place on the east coast for a bite to eat and a brew.

A place I have visited many times over the years and it has never failed to impress, with freshly made food including bakery items.

The restaurant is also dog friendly which is refreshing to see, and looks over Bridlington and Fraisthorpe bay which on a clear day is stunning.

I was saddened today to learn that only yesterday the restaurant reopened after 4 months of closure due to the lack of staff and the inability to provide table service because of it, meaning only now a takeaway option is available.

There is also a charity box in the toilets where over the years over £28,000 has been raised for local charitable organisations! Incredible!!

My friend & I called in The Cow Shed on our way to Wilsthorpe near Bridlington, with our two dogs, for a snack. We were actually quite hungry so we each ordered a nine inch local sausage (hot dog) with onions, & it went down a treat! The staff are lovely & very hard working too!

If you're looking for a picturesque café with stunning sea views, I highly recommend the Cow Shed at Fraisthorpe Beach. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace, taking in the breathtaking views of the beach and the ocean.

We indulged in delicious cups of luxury milk chocolate, which were perfectly prepared and a delightful treat. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the coastal scenery.
