We have eaten at the Cowdray twice in the last 3 weeks. On both occasions the food has been amazing, the staff friendly and attentive and the atmosphere really lovely. Special mention to Fatima, she clearly knows how to make people feel welcome. We will most certainly be back! We didn't stay so I haven rated the rooms.

Had Sunday lunch at the Cowdray Arms yesterday with family celebrating my brother's birthday. If you are looking for a welcoming atmosphere with outstanding food and service, look no further. The portions were plentiful and delicious, the staff were attentive without being overbearing and overall it was a very enjoyable afternoon. It has lots of seating but it wasn't noisy. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Very friendly welcome. Great selection of dishes on the menu along with some lovely wines. Food delicious, service exceptional. We were looked after very well by Jo who was very attentive along with the rest of the team.

The family meal here was most memorable. The quality of the food was superb. Jo and Fatima looked after us so well. Whilst the steak was excellent, the other menu items were superb also. Thoroughly recommended. Absolutely top value.

First time here under the new management. Food was superb, could not fault it! Service let it down, probably victims of their own success, I think virtually every table was filled, so do book ahead. But a very long wait between courses, ignored once or twice by hurrying staff which was a shame. 5 stars for the food without a doubt.

Friendly and welcoming. Couldn't provide a snack due to a function, however very kindly gave us complimentary chips with our drinks!! Greatly appreciated.

Wow what an amazing gastro pub. So cosy and ambient. We enjoyed a five star meal. The steaks were huge and perfectly cooked. Delicious sides with loads of flavour. Then the show-stopping pavlova. Compliments to the chef!! Amazing food. Jo served us so well and was so attentive.
Recently taken over by new owners, we wanted to try and we were blown away at the transformation of this pub. Will definitely be back. 🥳
