Visited for a birthday meal in a group of 8. Food was excellent. Nicely cooked, beautiful presentation. Not the cheapest but ok for good food and a special occasion.
Service attentive and knowledgeable. It would be good to have an idea who ordered what when serving as I felt we were being asked every few minutes who had ordered which drinks / dishes disrupting the atmosphere. However the main waitress had really good knowledge and answered everything well and with a good sense of humour.
Overall a nice experience - thank you! Would return.

The food was fantastic, best we have had anywhere in a very long time. (In fact the best we've had ever really). The service was great, and the surroundings lovely but the food was the star. Also worth noting the prices were very reasonable.
We will be back very soon.

We visited The Crab and Cow for a Sunday carvery having made the reservation online. The service was excellent and the amount of attentiveness during the meal was about right.

The food was excellent and well-cooked, although I would have liked a few more vegetables. We all had different desserts, but each one was particularly tasty.

With very reasonable prices, I can see us coming back here regularly!

Visited on Friday night with friends and had the best meal out we've had in months. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Empty plates all round. Staff were friendly. We had 3 courses and drinks and it was about £55pp which we thought was very reasonable. Looking forward to going back soon!

Just a note for helping get there - you need to go around the back of the building for parking and entrance. There is no entrance at the front of the building, although it looks like there should be.

Fabulous food and excellent service in a beautifully restored village pub. We had two courses of a late Sunday afternoon lunch and everything we were served, including a vegetarian, gf option for my partner, was superb. Thank you for catering for us with care and attention at short notice. Highly recommended.

Extremely good food and friendly staff. We have visited several times with family and we love their steak night on Wednesdays and Thursdays (excellent chateaubriand and a free beer/house wine each).

Our most recent visit was the two of us, and we enjoyed starters and mains. The crab crumpet is a main fixture on the menu, though is regularly updated to reflect seasonality, and this time was served with crispy leeks. My partner enjoyed the burrata which was well hidden under a pile of Serrano ham, rocket and pesto.
For mains I had a fillet of fish in a broth with hassleback potatoes, and my partner enjoyed the fillet steak served with a mix of delicious mushrooms, and chips.

I also enjoyed an excellent Spanish Albariño white wine which paired very well with the fish.
