Stayed in Decadent room 3 |Had the room, three course dinner and Lanson Le Black Champagne deal.|Black and gold room.||Overall a beautiful room, so cosy having a bath with the fire on in front and just relaxing. The bath runs from the wooden beam in the ceiling which is lovely. |The lighting was lush with lots of different lights to have on/off, the one behind the headboard made it look so pretty. |The wet room was lush and huge but only one ok sized shower in it which seemed odd seeing as there were two toilets and two basin areas. |Also the shower only worked half of the side of it, which ruined it a little. |Had to ask for dressing gowns as they hadnt been put in the room. |Staff very attentive and friendly?||The dinner at the English restaurant was amazing! The service was top class. 5⭐️||Be aware that double measure drinks are standard at the bar. So if you ask for a rum and coke you get a double.|Also be aware no cash at all is taken in hotel. |||Overall very happy

We’ve had 2 poor experiences 1 in each hotel. The first in Beaconsfield. The bar and restaurant shockingly understocked to the point we looked else where in the area to eat. The room was lovely until what seemed to be a zoo moved in to the room upstairs (lights in our room swayed whilst the room shook).
The staff at breakfast completely unhelpful and we could over hear another couple’s complaint of not having any water to shower in their room. (They were told to shower in their friends room). I expressed our disappointment and was offered a stay at their sister hotel which we chose to do for my 40th birthday. The place is amazing to view but that’s it.
Checked in to find out kitchen is closed, which meant we had to go out to the local area to eat. The bar understocked and to our amazement the restaurant had no fillet steak. AGAIN desperately understocked.
The manager was nice and listened but by then to little to late.

2 bad experiences with them. Would not recommend.

After wanting to tick this off our bucket list for some time and recently losing our beautiful bulldog, my partner decided to treat us and book a Saturday night stay here. I wish he booked the travel lodge! Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and told we had one of their best rooms as it was so large.... best room?!?!? For who?!?! The room was dated, had a musty smell (I'm assuming the wooden beams), and generally felt "grubby". The mirrored furniture had chips in it and on the edges of the tables, the rubber safety guards had dirt ground under it. The £25 rose petals were plastic and frayed, and the £65 champagne was awful. We went down to the bar for some very overpriced cocktails and decided not to risk dinner as, so far, this wasn't ticking the boxes. The bar service was slow, I wouldn't say it was busy either, a nice flow of guests and customers. We could order some nibbles from the chill area but nothing from the main menu. There was a DJ who played house and D&B if you like that. The main bar had a varied mix of people of all ages. The toilets just left us both confused by all the mirrors. We used the one in our room... back up the dark staircase. We returned to the room at the end of the evening for a relaxing soak, which was nice in the large copper bath. We felt so uneasy in the room we was awake by 7.30 and in for breakfast. The food for breakfast was ok. The orange juice was warm, they only had ketchup available for sauce. We settled our bill and left. I actually couldn't wait to get home and get showered. Overall I can only describe the evening as disappointing and very expensive!

I had afternoon tea with champagne. The service was pretty poor: the food was just plonked down on the table with no explanation of what was in the sandwich fillings (I have a shellfish allergy, and had explained that, so it would have been reassuring). We had to ask for our tea and champagne as it was never bought to the table. The scones were inedible as so dry. Location and decor nice but obviously that's not going to makeup for dry scones and poor service.

I recently stayed for my wife's birthday and I can't say enough good things about the experience! The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had an incredibly relaxing ambiance. One of the highlights was the stunning free-standing bathtub. It was the perfect spot to unwind afte, with plenty of space to relax. The hotel staff provided great assistance and made the experience even nicer. Definitely recommend.

Impressive decor in all aspects, certainly individual and impressive. Service was a bit slow unfortunately although the waiting staff were nice. Cashless system is annoying so can’t say that was impressive. ||The room was a boujee room and was just as we thought it would be, elaborate decor and felt special. ||Restaurant I felt was under welcoming, lacked atmosphere and supposed to be no sports wear but saw trainers and casual wear. ||Food was ok but wouldn’t go back, lack of choice but still ok. ||Overall, was an experience and glad we stayed. Cosy, relaxed and atmospheric place. ||Do we think it’s a lot of money overall, yes it is but I guess you pay for the individuality of the place overall.

I'm giving this 4 stars, mainly for the location and decoration.. I was lucky enough to have an afternoon tea here for my birthday treat from a friend. The Crazy Bear is decorated with sheer opulence, very beautiful surroundings. We were sat down and given menus. All seemed good. But service lacked a little something. It's not quite good enough. No tea served , sandwiches and cakes arrived, looked beautiful, but still no tea, no champagne. Had to ask for both And the scones were dry!!!!!! Why do restaurants not serve fresh scones They were as dry as can be. Come on.. main part of a cream tea, Not great, quite disappointing. We had 2 coffees after and were charged over £21 for those and a service charge..!!? OUCH! So bit of a shame overall.. Shame. A bit more thought and fresher scones could have made this a 5 star review. Parking available outside, but a bit pot luck how busy it is.. staff were friendly enough, but all quite young, maybe that's why wasn't quite up to par. ?
