Stopped off by chance looking for a Sunday roast. Lovely little stop, friendly staff, helpful, polite and welcoming. Ordered belly pork and a turkey roast, best meal we have had in a restaurant in a very long time!! Highly recommended will definitely come again and stay next time in one of their rooms. Very reasonably priced and Pet friendly too!! Thank you

Went for an evening meal.
After a long and fairly narrow lane/drive way , that made us wonder if we had missed a direction, we arrived at a little oasis of light in the night.
Friendly staff and hearty food at a fair price. Will be back

My wife and I had a meal here last night 12/05/24, to say it was poor is an understatement, I am sure a meal at a transport Cafe would have been very much better. My chiabata served with the meal was burned almost black on one side and subsequently rendered inedible. The meal itself was poor, lacking in taste and having coleslaw served with a lasagne was a poor choice. I shall certainly not visit again even though I live only some 4/5 miles away. My dining friends had a similar disappointing meal, such a pity as the venue is very pleasant.

I have eaten here a few times before and it was always good but this time it was even better. Food was really great with some great menu choices. Both our meals were excellent, the prawn curry and lasagne. Lovely location with dogs, a cat and geese wandering around outside!

Most beautiful location slightly off the beaten track. Gorgeous conservatory with grape vine growing in it, perfect place to sit and enjoy lunch as it was a slightly breezy day.|Service was very good and the food was absolutely delicious. A plentiful selection of seafood on the menu with unusual twists. Definitely be returning again and thoroughly recommend it.

Decent place for a drink. Difficult to get to on foot it looks but not a problem for us in the car.

The pub looks great and the conservatory looked really good especially with the grape plant growing inside.

Definitely worth visiting for a drink. I can’t comment on the food as we did not eat there. But based on the other reviews it’s decent scran.

Been many times before and always had good food and service. However today we were very disappointed as the full rack of ribs was half the size we’ve had there previously (now just 6 ribs for £20) and unfortunately the cheesecake was off! Sadly service was not with a smile either!

Went for a meal for my birthday, on arrival they didn't have a table ready despite us booking in advance. They quickly found us a table but was quite cramped for 5 of us. We've visited many times over the years and have been happy with our meal, unfortunately this wasn't the case this time. We waited an hour for our steaks which were really dry and chewy despite us ordering fillet steak. Then we ordered desserts with only 4 of us being served, everyone else had finished theirs so decided I wasn't going to eat on my own. When we went to pay they arrived with my dessert which I declined. The bill came to £200 which I wouldn't have minded paying if the meal was satisfactory but £200 for 5 pieces of rubber!! Very Dissapointed, we will Never return and will warn freinds and family.
