Four of us went for dinner tonight and we all loved it. The fish and chips was fantastic, as was the desserts. Thank you.

First time visit as only lived in the village since July what a lovely pub and lovely people and welcoming. And Lilly the barmaid is so friendly. Will become a regular now and try the food 😋

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Came across it by chance as we were staying nearby and checked the reviews. The review mentioned George and his great customer service. So I phoned up and booked for the Sunday we were close by. His manner on the phone was just as polite in person.

The plates of Sunday dinner were substantial and nothing was left at all. All very tasty.

Really impressed on all fronts and to top it off they had Jaipur on hand pull but I was driving so have a lovely Oakham ales session instead.

Well what can I say what a superb pub with good traditional food. We went for our anniversary Sunday lunch. The experience was exceptional and will definitely be booking to stay here in the Future. This is how all old English pubs should be. A special mention the man who looked after us (Cockney lad) who was genuinely one of the nicest hosts I have ever met . Thanks again and see you soon.

Flying visit for Sunday roast. Very tasty and the turkey was perfectly cooked. Shame we didn’t have time for desert. Staff were very friendly and welcoming especially George. Thank you

We stayed 2 nights as a family and celebrated a family wedding in their function room. Staff and owners all lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We had the pub and accommodation for us to use and get ready for the big day. Fantastic food and the inn has kept its charm and character. Highly recommend.
