Not a review on the hotel but on the pub/restaurant... Visited here after my sons christening. They don't usually cater for parties or do a buffet but we used the normal menu and put together a buffet table, I agreed order in advance so they had everything ready and prepared for when we got there and all I had to do on the day was pay. Jonas was great helping to arrange things and David in the kitchen on the day gave amazing service and food was fantastic. Everyone had a great time and left with full bellies. Nothing was too much bother and they reserved an area for us which was perfect. Would highly recommend coming here for a meal and for larger groups. Thank you too the staff for making our day perfect

Great stay. I stayed here and paid extra for early check in (extra £20). The hotel/pub is deceivingly large, you need to go to the back of the pub to check in. Once checked in I was given a key card, which gives access to the private access and rooms. It also gives access to the front door when you come back to the hotel in the evening. I was upstairs, first floor in room 102 at the front of the pub. Rooms are clean and modern, with excellent Aircon (appreciated as I stayed on one of the hotter days this year and other people at the same event I went to in other hotels/accommodation did not have this feature and suffered greatly, so I felt pretty blessed), temp control easy to use and can be switched off at night if you don't like the noise of it. Great bathroom and shower cubicle with handrail and modern square water fall shower. Great tea/coffee making facilities with wide selection including hot chocolate, coffee, tea, decaf, plus added bonus they provided oat milk which pleased me greatly! Plenty of information provided in room on other services hotel offers. I didn't t stay for breakfast as I had early plans but when I returned my key card the breakfast smelt incredible. Be mindful this hotel is a popular pub on a thriving high street with market so on a busy summer weekend there will be the obvious amount of noise connected with that. That being said, I fell asleep instantly on a very comfy bed and wasn't disturbed. I would like to return to enjoy more of the hotel/pub than I was able on my fleeting visit. It has a very large bar area which is seated and has lots of seated outdoor space at the back. Staff were very informative , approachable and extremely helpful. Excellent stay. Thank you!

Great experience for my wife and I , we stayed here for two nights on family business and had a fantastic room . It was well equipped with air conditioning , large modern shower, tv and a very comfortable bed.staff were great , The pub was very busy at times and you could think they needed some extra bar staff as we did have to wait a few times to be served. But to be fair they were working hard to get people served. Very reasonable prices for rooms and obviously being a Wetherspoons beer was cheap.

The staff are so helpful and courteous, Stayed at this hotel a few times but always on the 1st floor. Our room (203) was on the top floor, what a lovely big room, bottles of water, a selection of tea's and Coffee's, hot chocolate sachets left along with biscuits, what a great touch. Iron, Ironing board and hairdryer in the room. Bathroom had a shower over the bath, but a grip rail so you get in easily enough.|Had a family meal 2 nights and it really was lovely. |Great location, in the heart of the town. Love coming to Biggleswade and love this hotel.

I booked this place to attend a funeral having driven up from Liverpool for the night. The staff were immediately helpful and friendly and I was assisted to check in by Amy. |Amy was incredible during the whole evening (stayed in the pub to have a few drinks too after the wake). ||My room (205) was quaint and cosey and very warm. Bed was big and very comfortable. I wasn't actually expecting much to be honest, just a room - but The Crown certainly surpassed my expectations. Very clean and the squeaky staircase and funny shaped doors added authenticity from your bog standard hotel. ||Breakfast the next morning was smashed avo muffin with back bacon, poached egg and a hash brown. Very fresh, tasty and reasonably priced too. Again, the staff were super nice and helpful and the food came fast|I will most definitely stay here again and recommend. Hats off to Amy and the team, well done.

Pleasant and hard working staff. Excellent rooms with loads of space and nice bathroom. Floor was a bit squeaky but it’s a very old building. Our room overlooked the main high street and was a bit noisy during the day but ok if you didn’t a lie in. We had a good stay.

Visited this pub for the first time , just for a drink. Queued up and waited my turn, as is the etiquette. Just as it was going to be my turn, a lady approached the bar area. The blonde female bar person asked who was next and I naturally approached. Upon reaching the bar, I was told that she thought the other woman was first, essentially accusing me of jumping the queue. The female customer immediately corrected her that I was indeed first. Although, I know this is not a big deal, I am a bit annoyed that I received no apology and actually had a bit of attitude from the bar person, as if it was my mistake. Won't be going in that pub again.

Yes, this is a Wetherspoons pub but like no other I have visited.
Dedicated staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Great service, tables cleared promptly, bar regularly swept and I must add a special mention for the Manager who runs a great pub and leads by example.
The room in which we stayed was equivalent to a 4* hotel and immaculately kept.
We will return.
