This is a beautiful place to visit for a drink or meal. The staff are super friendly. The food was superb, complimentary focaccia to start, then we both opted for tomato soup to start which was fresh with fresh bread. I had the steak pie and my hubby the fresh seafood platter which was a culinary experience. If you are a seafood fan then there is an amazing choice. Recommend booking in advance as this place gets busy.

So fabulous to see Karl and Amanda back at the helm in this delightful village pub, from the moment we arrived the professional friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. Our mixed age group of eight found plenty of choice on the menu to suit all tastes and we were all overwhelmed by the quality of the food served to us. We are looking forward to returning to The Crown again soon.

Absolutely spectacular!!! Had the most beautiful chicken and sweet potato dish honestly from a chefs view was 10/ 10. room is stunning and for filled every wish and more. Bar staff absolutely lovely 100% coming back!!!

Called in for lunch and received a very warm welcome.
I had the hot beef sandwich and my husband the pork, they were both absolutely delicious.
Lovely location, atmosphere and excellent service.
Highly recommended.

Having been on many walks from Roecliffe we decided to try the food at the pub yesterday. The staff were super nice and friendly but the food was disappointing. As vegetarians, the staff were nice enough to offer veggie burgers which weren’t on the menu, but we found them very dry and basic. I ordered icecream for dessert and it was poorly presented and was more ice than cream so I ate one spoon and left it, which they didn’t charge for. Was a little put off by the ladies toilets as well with the carpet on the floor all the way into the cubicles. Such a shame as it’s a lovely village, nice walks and really nice staff.

Came here yesterday for Christmas dinner and it was absolutely fabulous! Everything was just perfect. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was fantastic and the food was beautiful. I had the turkey for main and it was so succulent. Honestly couldn't praise this place enough. Definitely will be returning, thank you so much for making our day extra special !!

A new management at this old hotel. Very good C19 sanitation in situe. A small but very helpful team on duty. Tables were well spaced out in the dining. Service was good. The menu was l think a little restrickted than it would be but still a good choice. We both had fish. My Salmon was perfect. We will be back one day.

Very nice food. And whilst slightly on the expensive side for a Sunday roast, you wont leave hungry. Portion sizes are huge! Extremely delicious, also.
The only downside is whilst they make use of the classic coach house, the tables are a little cramped, we were a party of 4 and the table we had was in the bay of the window. Im 6ft tall and even I couldn't get my legs properly under the table.
Service was also mixed however I feel that may have been because they were training new staff.

All in all a really lovely and quaint place to visit. Great relaxed Yorkshire Sunday lunch for everyone.
