A really lovely house in a fabulous location! It was absolutely perfect for our weekend visit to Harrogate. Situated on a beautiful, quiet, tree lined road opposite Valley Gardens - the most stunning park - and only a short walk from the centre of town. Our room was a great size, with high ceilings and huge windows looking out to the park. Breakfast was included, with lots of choice. We opted for English breakfast both mornings and it was fab.||Many thanks to the hosts, who were lovely!||Our first visit to Harrogate, what a stunning town. Will definitely be returning and stay in The Dales again.

Wonderful and thoughtful welcome, with very comfy beds, super clean accommodation, breakfast amazing , fresh and well cooked. Restaurants are plentiful near by , we went to Essen, the tannin level , both extremely good. It is wise to book well in advance with many restaurants, especially pranzo, Harrogate is a beautiful place with great people, love it.

Amazing experience, well worth the price. Chris was so nice and helpful and so easy to talk to! Room was spacious and clean, as well as quiet. But what I loved the most was the park just outside the building. Quiet street and a lot of trees. Amazing!

Excellent service, decent rooms and amazing breakfast with decent location for a stay in Harrogate.

We stayed for a weekend at The Dales and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Chris the owner greeted us and sorted our parking immediately. We were then showed to our rooms which were spacious and clean (photos are after our stay, it was impeccable on arrival).

The room was stocked with tea/coffee etc and lots of linen and towels. The bathroom for our room (Room 1 on first floor) was separate but large, and carpeted. It was still private although technically someone could walk past you I guess, but we were OK with the setup if sensible.

The beds were comfortable and the room warm and private.

There is a group TV room on the ground floor next to the dining room, and room 4 is a utility room (second floor) with iron, microwave and fridge etc.

Breakfast was amazing. The amount is significant and tasty. The fruit melange is a must with 9 different fruits in it!

The vegetarian breakfast was very filling and the sausages so tasty. The second day we couldn't manage the amount so opted for simple poached and scrambled eggs on toast. Both were perfect. Honestly the food was excellent. Some may find ordering the night before annoying but we didn't and prefer to support less wastage of food using this system.

The location is perfect, right opposite the park for kids and the Japanese Garden for a nice stroll. You can walk to town and be at Betty's in 10 mins or the center in 15 mins max.

Chris the owner was attentive and helpful. We didn't see her partner but about if needed, although we didn't.

We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here for others.

Just stayed for 3 nights at this excellent B&B. Roy and Chris are such lovely hosts.||||We stayed in room 3, a very large room overlooking the Valley Gardens. It had a very comfortable King sized bed, two easy chairs and a table, loads and loads of storage. There were fresh roses on the dressing table and 4 pieces of fruit in a fruit bowl- lovely touch. There was an ensuite, with lovely fluffy white towels.||||A hairdrier is provided, tea and coffee facilities: we were given the largest amount of tea, coffee, milk and sugars ever. There were also biscuits left each day.||||The breakfast was excellent with high quality produce. The melange of fruit was so beautiful.||||The Dales is in a prime location. We parked the car- free parking permit for each day of our stay!- and walked everywhere.||||The Turkish Baths is a must, Valley Gardens opposite is such a beautiful park with plenty to do for young children. The Pump Room is also interesting.||||We walked to Harlow Carr, RHS gardens, took about 20 mins through pretty woods. Really worth a visit. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance too.||||We would thoroughly recommend The Dales and thank Chris and Roy for their hospitality.
