Amidst the delightful bustle of Highlands Park, next to the Go Ape Centre is "The Deli".

Mary, Hannah, and Charlotte went above and beyond to ensure I had a truly special visit.

Their recommendation of the sausage roll was spot on—flaky, flavorful, and just what I needed. But the real star of the show? The *most gorgeous* hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Rich, velvety, and beautifully made, it was a little cup of happiness in a chaotic day.

Thank you, Mary, Hannah, and Charlotte, for your kindness, great suggestions!

We come here a lot on a Sunday and are always happy to. Some reviews mention the slow service and under trained staff and yes the queue can be long when it's busy but it has so much potential if management get it right. BUT, the food is fresh and very good. We love the homemade flapjack. And we'll be back despite the negative reviews.

What a shame this cafe isn't better run. It could be great as the food and coffee are good, but the slow service lets it down. Last time we visited (summer last year) we waited nearly an hour for lunch. This time we waited half an hour for coffee and cake. The management are clearly skimping on staff to save money. It's ridiculous that the poor waitress who took our order at the till was also making coffee, serving, clearing tables and cleaning.

Horrendously slow service. So much so, we left without ordering. It’s a shame because the food looks great and the coffee was great, but taking 40 minutes to queue up and then be served two coffees isn’t great.

I walked my dogs, then sat at the back of the deli where the dogs are welcome. The deli supplies a water bowl for the dogs and they even do a pup cup for the dogs🤩. I order a chicken sandwich and it was neatly presented on a cute pink plate with a side of salad. Definitely recommend going here the staff are so nice and the food is amazing, definitely worth the price. It’s a very pretty place and you still feel like you’re in the park as it’s surrounded by trees.

Terrible service. Staff overwhelmed and under trained. It was busy, but you must know when to say no to more food orders and be consistent on either bringing food out or getting customers to collect. Lost orders and two complaints on chips being cold (after being told they would be brought out to table but didn't). Noticed the chef slammed chips in the bin on my complaint out the back. Rather embarrassing moment for all. Disappointed.

Not sure why the reviews are so poor of this place, it is reasonably priced, quick service and lovely interior decor/vibes.

I had a brie bacon and cranberry Toastie + a coffee, which came to under £10. Service was quick and staff were friendly. I assume it can get very busy when the weather is good, but Sunday afternoon was very pleasant.

You can also get takeaway coffee from here too.
