I was on a group bus tour from London and because we were only given limited time to spend time at Bourton-on-the-Water, I decided to have a take-out for lunch. I chose The Den and had their Pesto chicken & cheese toasted baguette- it was very very good! The combination of melted cheese, chicken and pesto was delicious. I also could not resist trying their Bourbon brownie. And it was one of the best brownies I’ve ever had!! Crunch on the outside and fudgy on the inside!! Very warm and welcoming staff too 🙂

I had a vegan tuna baguette, milkshake and a lemon blueberry muffin. All were lovely. Also the lady that served us was super friendly and cheerful even though it was a busy/hectic day! Thanks!

Really tasty gluten free bagel. This is a small place so take away mainly but a few seats outside. Loads of different options to have in your bagel. Lots of vegan too. The chef told me he was coeliac so would take extra care to swap utensils, different trays for the oven etc. that's lovely to hear! Only downside allergy wise is that gluten free cakes are kept next to gluten cakes in the fridge. They have so many gluten free options you'd be able to just have a layer in the fridge only for gluten free.

We ordered 4 drinks.
3 English breakfast and 1 peppermint tea

They only filled my peppermint half full to start with and they took the teabag out..I like my peppermint teabag to be left in whilst I drink it.

The 3 teas were all VERY milky, no preference again on strength, teabags taken out.

Just seems the only cafe ever to do this?
Whilst I was drawn to this because of all the gluten free/vegan/vegetarian options, the basics seemed to be lacking.

Found this take away cafe whilst on holiday in the Cotswolds and it was really worth a visit.

They have a big range of vegan bagels, baguettes, salads, milkshakes and a also few cakes.

We had variations of the smashed avo and vegan halloumi bagels. They were really good and the toast bagels we soft and very good quality.

My boy got a vegan chocolate milkshake and having tried it I should have got one too!

Great location in the centre of town, and a perfect take away to go and sit by the river with. They also have non vegan options.

The two women working there were really friendly and helpful.
