High quality spec apartment attached, beautiful attention to detail and comfort. Tranquil stay. Great food, wine list & staff at pub, delicious supper. Welcoming & warm from tel booking, arrival & check out. Electric charger a bonus. Wish we were staying longer to explore area. Will return as a definite! Middleton one Row a gem.

We stayed and ate at The Devonport the night before we flew out of Teesside airport. Everything about our experience was wonderful. From the staff, to the food and service in the restaurant, to the room in which we stayed, everything was perfect. A big thank you to the manager Jen, for making us feel so welcome.

Visited for the first time this evening after a few reviews from a couple of colleagues that live local, we arrived it wasn’t overly busy but the sevrice was 10/10, we wanted to order our starters and nip outside to bask in the sun until the food was ready this wasn’t a problem at all even had our drinks brought to us outside.

When the food was ready we were collected and seated the food though wow! It really was 5* scotch egg and king prawn starts highly recommended!!

We enjoyed this stay so much we are gonna book a room and make a stay of the place!! Not to mention the lovely walk along the river opposite it.

We have been to the Devonport multiple times now, on 2 separate occasions 1 being a surprise engagement & another baby shower and both times they have been flawless. Food is second to none, service is amazing and the staff always go above and beyond.
We live local so regularly call in for a drink and sit outside which is absolutely lovely especially when the sun is out!

No complaints what so ever but a recommendation could be to have some nice chilled music for the outside seating area.

Excellent all round guest house. Room was really clean and well presented. Food was amazing and not over priced. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

We had a great family celebration. Ashleigh couldn't have done more for us. She upgraded part of our parry and went over and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much! We will be back

Fresh tasty hot food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The eating area was fairly full, which pretty much tells you it's a good place to be! Some great offers on staying the night and giving you free meal the following day, we'll definitely give that a go!
