My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was wonderful in every way. The hotel was very clean, in great condition, and well maintained. It was very cosy with open fires and comfortable seating. The staff were very friendly, helpful and always around to assist you (just like the best pre-covid hotels). The food was absolutely delicious, we ate our evening meals in both the Brasserie and The Garden Room, and it was worth the money. Their wine selection is superb as well. I used the gym and spa each day and the gym is well fitted out considering it's not a big space, including free weights, machines and cardio machines. The spa is small but very good, nice pool with steam room and sauna, together with the usual treatments. All very clean and in great condition. The location was perfect - quiet, rural and just a short walk to Bolton Abbey. It's also perfect for visiting Harrogate and Skipton. My wife and I needed a break from the pressures of everyday life and a place to celebrate 20 years, and this did just that. We would definitely recommend staying and we will be returning again. Lovely stuff.

We ended up at this hotel by default with a last minute booking, which turned out to be an incredible stroke of luck and a quality experience. |We were checked in by Fern - who was just lovely - and our deluxe room upgraded to the Bellbusk suite. The suite was absolutely beautiful, with two bathrooms and the most stunning views. |The food in the restaurant was outstanding and the service exceptional: from the attentive young women at dinner to the charming young men at breakfast. I only wish I’d taken their names in order to mention them all in person. |We loved everything about our stay and only regret it wasn’t longer - both to further sample the menu and take advantage of the local walks in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. |We highly recommend the Devonshire Fell Hotel and we plan to return as soon as we are back in the area.|Thank you to everyone for a fabulous stay.

This place was uniquely suitable for me in a unique situation. I'm a cyclist, and I don't stay in hotels because I also have a perfume allergy. So I go around the country, avoiding perfume. This place astonished me. I ate a few dinners in their brasserie. And paid for their all you can eat breakfast once so far. During my frequenting, I can report SCENT FREE cleaning products! Rather than having a cheap chemical taste, the air in this place smells classy and clean. Also, they had totally no problems with me doing remote work in one of their little office rooms, and their spa let me get pre-dinner showers... a godsend for a cyclist! So unlike anywhere else. Anywhere else, would probably have moved me along for 'hanging around' because I'm not 'renting a room.' But here I was still a fee paying customer, and they let me do what I wanted within the building. Its a classy place, full of good upper middle class, and even some upper class people. Thoroughly pleasant, and so long as you're a respectable and friendly type, you'll fit in a treat here.

Wonderful place. We purchased the twilight deal arrived early for a walk through the beautiful grounds. Enjoyed the spa which was quiet and relaxing. Very clean and well kept. Enjoyed a smoothie by the pool before getting ready for dinner in the brasserie. The staff were excellent with particular thanks to the spa team. Will be back ⭐️

Beautifully situated, public areas very welcoming - wood fires with wellies and umbrellas available for walks - and staff pleasant. Rooms are fairly small but comfortable, especially the beds, and bathrooms are to say the least compact although everything worked. We expected more at this price point though as other than the location and general style there's not much difference between this accommodation and a Premier Inn.|Food in the restaurant is good quality. While the service is friendly and and accommodating it was slow and not always reliable; a drinks order for our table took over 15 minutes to arrive and some breakfast items didn't turn up until we reminded them. At the heroic prices charged you expect more.

Idyllic property located at the gateway to the Dales. The staff, rooms, dining, spa, and ambiance are outstanding. There are two seating areas with fireplaces and wait staff to bring you drinks and small bites. Views from the inn are stunning.

There are walking trails from the property to Bolton Abbey and beyond. Access to local towns, sights, and trails is easy and convenient.

We will definitely return to this beautiful inn.

I have wanted to visit this hotel for quite sometime so our 46 wedding anniversary was quite appropriate.|Firstly, we had a room upgrade that was a let down; the room was small, the bathroom even smaller - a shower in bath that was a huge climb in and then struggled as it was soo narrow it was hard to balance.|The mattress was waay to soft and absolutely awful pillows, like sleeping on stone!|The leisure centre! Firstly across a busy road that is main route into the dales. I had slippers and a bath robe on to cross the road in the rain! Ridiculous! Very very badly designed leisure areA and I have been to many around the world- this the worst!you have to climb steep stairs to the locker room , come back down to swim/ spa and go back up and down to get ready. The only shower is in a small cubicle with a public toilet in ! Yuk!|The pool itself extremely hot I almost passed out and soo noisy from waterfalls so loud you couldn’t speak to your partner. This place badly though out, badly designed and definitely NOT for anyone not too good on their feet or disabled !|The evening restaurant was miles away from the rooms so much so we and another couple thought we’d got lost!|We ordered our starter and were given something totally different no explanation, did the chef think we were stupid?|We were also charged for two glasses of Chardonnay we did not have!|The worst! Middle of the night the fire alarms went off. After a while we thought ‘nobody is coming we better go see’. Others had |started to do the same.|The alarm went off for half hour or more with no member of staff anywhere near us. |Finally after over 40 minutes firemen came and told us there was a small fire in the kitchen, all sorted and we could go back to bed.|Not then, nor in the morning was there ever an apology! |I didn’t sleep after that so the next day was ruined, plans gone and we just packed up early and went home. |I’m sure this hotel was in breach of rules and regulations for said fire and I will myself, be looking into this for sure.|We will never frequent this place ever again and don’t advise anyone else to ! |Back to The Coniston’ next time far nicer and safer!

Me and my daughter came for a short break and felt like we’d been treated like royalty! ||We started with afternoon tea which was delicious, then moved on to the cocktail bar which served some of the best cocktails we’ve tasted. ||The following day we used the spa facilities which were fantastic! But a special mention has to go to Jane. She took us on a guided tour of Bolton Abby and a local walk. She was amazing and made our trip very special. We loved it and will definitely be back
