I stayed at The Edgar Townhouse over Valentine’s weekend, and it is a beautiful hotel. The location is perfect, just a 4-minute walk to The Holburne Museum and 9 minutes to Theatre Royal and the city centre. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. My room was beautiful, with a great view from the window. I was very happy during my stay here and will recommend it to others.

It is a beautiful building in one of the widest streets in Bath. We stayed a couple of nights in the cosy basement bedroom with a window. The bed was super comfortable and it was quiet at night. Although not a spacious room, it was enough room for a short stay. The breakfast menu and service were fantastic, setting us up for a day of walking. We particularly enjoyed the 2-hour free walking tour which was recommended by staff. Highly recommend doing this. The location was great. It is not far to walk to the restaurants and cafes further up, to Pulteney Bridge, and to the main sights of Bath in the square.

Stayed 2 nights in room on top floor, small and compact but comfortable. Bed was okay, pillows good, mattress a bit "springy", room clean and well equipped with what you might need, tea and coffee provided, top floor meant 5 flights of stairs but we knew that so not an issue for us (but it might be for you). Breakfast included which had plenty of choice. Helpful staff. Great location in a great city.

Great location with an easy walk into the centre of Bath. There is no parking on site but there are two long stay car parks about 10 minutes walk away - The Podium and Charlotte street. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff really friendly. I had a basement room but it still had natural light via a courtyard and the room was a good size with a large bathroom.

The hotel is situated on a picturesque street in a fantastic location. Breakfast was excellent and accompanied by friendly service. Unfortunately, the level of cleanliness in the hotel room was very disappointing. Numerous hairs from a previous occupant had been left on and in the bed as well as in the shower. An alternate room shown also had the same problem. The bathroom bin had also not been emptied prior to arrival. The hotel did not rectify this at the time and has not responded to an email with this feedback.

Bright, clean room with a comfortable bed. Great location, 5-10 min walk into the city centre. Breakfast good with good selection of cooked breakfast, yogurts, cereals ect. We parked at the park and ride and got the bus in for approx £9, far cheaper than parking in the city centre. Tap water that's been bottled left at reception to help yourself to, which is a good idea. Tea and coffee making facilities good. Access would be tricky if not able bodied (it is a town house with lots of stairs) so check accessibility with property if required before booking. We would stay again if in Bath again.

My sister and I visited Bath for a long weekend and stayed at this wonderful hotel. |The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast cooked to order was delicious and generous (also fruit, juice, yogurt and cereals were provided as a buffet). Our twin room was a touch small but clean and beautifully decorated with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable including a kettle with tea/coffee and biscuits. There was also free refillable glass bottled water (which tasted amazing) available in the foyer. The townhouse is a short walk away from the city centre, with several options for food and drink. Staying at the hotel meant we had a small discount to go to the thermae bath spa. For what we paid we thought it was really good value for money and would definitely stay here again.
