We arrived at peak time, most of the tables full but they found a spare chair and happily made room for us on the sun-drenched patio. Good food (Ploughman’s Platter and the Smashed Avo with Scrambled Eggs), nice banter with the staff and an excellent location. We enjoyed it so much that we came back for Scones and Tea, arriving shortly before they closed. Phew - because the scones were fresh and delish and we’re glad we didn’t miss out.

Always excellent sitting next to the River Arun with the spectacular Arundel Castle as your backdrop. Perfect. Delicious Coronation chicken sandwich and very good coffee as I stopped by on my bike ride. Friendly professional service.

My husband and I booked a trip to Arundel for our wedding anniversary and decided to pop to a cafe after going to Arundel castle. This was the first one that popped up and had good reviews. Lovely location, despite the rubbish weather on the day. I went for the eggs royale , which after asking the staff they mentioned they don’t normally do breakfast in the day as it can get very busy, luckily it wasn’t busy when we went! I also had an iced latte which they kindly gave me a takeaway cup as I couldn’t finish it all. I wish I had some loose change to give a tip as the staff were lovely. From working in a cafe myself I know how stressful it can be but there was a lovely atmosphere in the cafe. Highly recommend!

Central location beside the river with ample outdoor seating. Large breakfast menu and sandwiches / jacket potatoes for lunch. Service was polite and prompt.

Having sat inside where you can see in to the kitchen, we felt hygine standards could be improved. Staff didn't wear hair nets or wash their hands frequently (e.g. after wiping their noses or scratching heads).

Despite the off putting hygine, the food was tasty and good value for money.

Very accommodating staff and delicious light lunch options. On the river with outside seating and limited inside seating. We started off outside on a sunny but cold day. They offered us blankets which we accepted and as soon as a table came free they moved us inside. All the staff were lovely. Recommend ?
