What an amazing find The Elm in Abbots Ripton was. We stopped for a drink early evening. The exterior is delightful and the interior is just as nice.|There are plenty of places to sit both indoors and outdoors.|We got our drinks and some bar snacks and sat outside in the evening sunshine. It really is a delightful spot.|There is plenty of parking and the food and drinks menu offers a good choice |Well worth checking out if you’re in the area

Amazing dinner and service. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were all amazingly friendly and attentive. We were the last out the restaurant yet all the staff patiently waited for us without rushing us at all (so much so that we didn’t realise we were the last!). Thank you so much. Highly recommend and will absolutely be returning again.

Fantastic food! Staff were great, really friendly and welcoming, without being over bearing. Up market and peaceful, but child friendly. A real cosy, lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon

Underwhelmed!!! Limited Roast menu, and well overpriced! Plated badly. Burnt and very fatty meat, seriously looked disgusting! poncy desserts were not enjoyable! Trying to be upmarket but chefs need to get it right, sarcasm bu serving if u say anything! Much nicer places to go to! Had been recommended this place but will telling people to avoid sadly!

Beautiful food me and my girlfriend had. Step son (7 yr old) had a kids meal but it looked like a grown up meal just a smaller portion.
Extremely posh environment

We drive past this place countless times and we always say ‘we need to try it’. Only gone and done haven’t we.

Pulled up at 1300hrs (having booked online) on a Sunday afternoon and the sun was beaming. We were offered to be seated inside or out. Bagged a corner spot under the impressive high quality canopy / tent / gazebo so the kids could go play which was a dream. We were served by a waitress called Evie who was spot on. Drinks and water provided swiftly. Kids meals out with the starters. She knew what she was doing and did it very well. The place was pretty busy but the service did not suffer.

Now the food. I had the Porchetta as did the wife. Whopping portions. Very tastey. Boshed it down with a sticky toffee pudding. Very nice, the gravy especially. No salt or pepper required. The children cleaned their plates and were back in the park in no time.

Very impressed and will certainly be back. The facilities were tidy, the park and bouncy castles very safe for kids of all sizes.

First time here after the change in management. Gorgeous meal for my mother’s birthday. We only mentioned in passing it was her birthday and they brought her out a lovely birthday dessert plate, going above and beyond. We had four courses and each one superb, excellent service, really enjoyable evening. Definitely on the pricier side but worth it for an occasion.
