The hotel is set in a really nice area, with the grounds well looked after to create a picturesque setting. The hotel itself was nicely decorated and well presented throughout. The staff were friendly and professional, and looked after us well.

We enjoyed the spa package and use of the pool facilities. We did find that it got fairly busy at times, with some guests unable to get seats around the pool.

There were plenty of food options, and I enjoyed the steak which had lots of chips provided with it.

The room was very clean and comfortable. However, probably because it is an old building, but the walls were very thin which meant that we could clearly hear the people sharing the wall with us.

Visited the Elms for an overnight spa break with close friends in February. Our package included voucher towards food (meal at the Badger restaurant or room service), spa treatment, spa access after check in, overnight stay and breakfast. We stayed in the Gladstone suite and would definitely recommend for a group booking. The room decor and views were lovely. Food and service was great. For the price of most spa days, I would really recommend looking at overnight spa stay options as an alternative as excellent value for money and get to relax for the evening after your spa access.

Stayed for an Overnight Spa Break here with my pregnant girlfriend. Overall a lovely experience. Friendly/helpful staff, pleasant room. We stayed in the ‘Comfy Room’, which was indeed comfy, clean and did the job for a night. Would possibly upgrade if we were staying any longer though, as it wasn’t the biggest. The Spa obviously makes the experience what it is. My girlfriend had a pregnancy massage and said it was amazing. I used the sauna/steam room and we both used the pool/hot tub. All was incredible, we especially loved the decor. Our only bug bear and we weren’t alone in this, was the lack of space to sit down and relax around the pool area. For the few hours we were there I counted 3-4 couples complaining to staff that they had no where to sit as it was so busy. I appreciate most of the time it’s probably not an issue, but during busy periods it would be a real problem and was evident on a Friday Afternoon as guests were checking in and heading straight down. When you spend in excess of £400/£500 per night, at the very least you’d expect a seat by the pool. Definitely needs looking at. Apart from that, The Elms is an amazing place to get away and relax.

Fabulous stay. We were celebrating my partner’s 21st birthday and we loved the place.
The spa was beautiful and I had a great experience with Leah for a facial.
Food was delicious in the badgers restaurant and top quality for breakfast too.
Reception team were fantastic and made us feel very welcome.
The only thing I would mention is lighting might not be ideal for some guests as our room was only lit with side lights/lamps and no overhead lights. Makes for a lovely ambiance but might not be great for some people.
A wonderful stay overall! Thank you to all the staff at The Elms

We came to The Elms Hotel & Spa as a Christmas present for my partner. We both throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to a friend and come again. ||We stayed in a comfy room which was plenty big enough for the two of us, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was HUGE.||We had full access to the spa from check-in until check-out which was lovely. We especially enjoyed the sauna, steam room, hot tub & I think aromatherapy shower (not entirely sure on the name but it’s basically that). One of the best spas we’ve been to so far!||We also had a reservation in the Badgers restaurant which was absolute luxury! I would warn be careful on the added extra costs such as bottled water and sharing breads as we didn’t realise that they were extras until our bill came at the end. If we’d have known about the bottled water charge we would have asked for tap water. The food however was fantastic and we were recommended a lovely bottle of wine to accompany our meal which finished it off perfectly. Food for us was:|Bread to share: Warm, freshly baked onion bread with a Parmesan butter & apple chutney.|Starters: Prawn gyoza with a mushroom tea & a duck leg thingy.|Mains: Beef fillet & ribeye steak.|Dessert: white chocolate cheesecake & hazelnut fondant.||We were very impressed with our stay overall and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Thankyou so much to everyone at The Elms Hotel & Spa for making our stay so special.

We spent two nights at the Elms last week. Totally brilliant. Room 7 is bliss. The staff were wonderful and the hotel itself is just lovely throughout. The spa is gorgeous with the inside and outside jacuzzi. I had two treatments from Libby and Liv who were so caring. I cannot recommend The Elms enough and will definitely be going back. Thank you all.

Lovely, quirky hotel with comfy beds and large rooms. Everything you could need here incl apples and choc in the room. The spa was amazing and the only criticism I could find is that there weren’t enough seats around the pool for relaxing after using the wet areas. The hotel and spa was very clean and the decor so lovely. Will be coming back for certain. This is my new favourite spot

Stayed at the Coach House Suite, honestly can’t fault the place at all. The pictures online when booking don’t give it justice!

The Suite was its own little house which i didn’t expect. Such an ideal, luxurious, romantic spa hotel with great aesthetic and decor throughout.

If this is a 4 star… whats a 5 star hotel! Dinner was great, didn’t think it would be filling but fooled me.

Only thing I could say regarding both Dinner and Breakfast is seasoning goes a long way. Could do with some just to make it a bit more tasteful but I suppose everyone has a different taste.

Will definitely be back again!
