The breakfast was absolutely brilliant. Fresh, cooked to order and presented lovely. I ordered full English. My gratitude to chef James

I stayed at the hotel accommodation, just exactly what you need. Clean, good decor and warm for chilly nights in February. My thanks goes to staff member / manager Jamie for the excellent hospitality.

Dinner time I treated my dog to a steak from the child's menu let's just say he "woofed" it down. And I ordered the sirloin steak (cooked medium) melted in the mouth.

Lastly I'd like to give credit to Andrew who works in the kitchen and gives 110% to making sure the customers thoroughly enjoy their meals through his passion of cooking.

We checked into the Ely and was pleasantly welcomed by the Lovely and Witty Glynn. Fabulous Lady.
Oh my goodness what a fabulous Receptionist she is. Made us laugh from the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left. Nothing was much trouble for Glynn. She went out of her way to make our stay the BEST EVER. EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH Would very be fitting for Her. What an access to this place.
We also met Michelle lovely Lady.
The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed.
The food in the Restaurant was lovely as was Breakfast. All of the restaurant Staff were so nice and Friendly, thank you all.
Thanks to the lovey Glynn We will be back for one the Tribute nights also with our BEST Friends.

Booked last minute so only a had table later than we wanted. We arrived a bit earlier than booking as we walked up but we're were able to sit in the bar & look at the menu. The beers were tasty & there were 3 ales on which was good. Other times recently there has only been 1 ale or even none.
Staff friendly & 2 for £20 voucher worked as expected. Food arrived quickly & was fine. Batter on fish & chips could have been crunchier & bith our chips weren't very hot but all in all a decent meal for the price.
We asked for ketchup & got a little pot, always disappointing especially when 2 people are using it.
Will definitely be back as this pub is now within walking distance. However it was disappointing to see that tables weren't cleared after people had left/finished. The table next to us left as our food arrived & their used plates were still uncollected when we'd finished ours. We put our plates on the same table, stayed for another pint & all dirty plates were still there when we left.

Came in for a meal on Saturday Evening was served by Helen and Joe who were both incredibly friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Food came out in good time and was very good! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a good meal in a great setting and lovely staff!

After being turned down from a local pub on Valentine's Day (as it was full for lunch) we were recommended to try The Ely. I'm so glad we did! My Nan, our daughter and I enjoyed a lovely lunch in a gorgeous venue. Simon our waiter was brilliant throughout, he was smiley, approachable and engaged well with our 2 year old daughter, giving her stickers and crayons to draw with. The food was tasty and hot, the coffee was good, too! A 10/10 experience. We will be back- thank you, Simon and thank you, The Ely!

This evening I had a fantastic rump steak and I must say this has to be one of the best steaks iv had that I haven't had to cook full of flavour and cooked to my liking , all the staff are great full of personality and very welcoming all clearly working very hard and looking great when doing so . Thank you for my lovely meal and will be definitely eating here again. Keep up the great work ☺️

We called in a an impromptu dinner. As usual the service was EXCELLENT. The waitress was so cheerful and a delight to interact with. The food was a very good standard of Pub Grub. It was hot and wholesome. There was absolutely nothing not to like. For a change I managed to finish my main and even managed a dessert which was unusual for me.

I visited last Sunday with my family. Everyone really enjoyed the food. The pub itself has beautiful interior. Also big shout out to Joe who served us. Really friendly and attentive to my 5 year old daughter.
