Grateful they fitted us in on our first night in Bude - we had attempted the pub next door without success, so came into The Falcon and really glad we did. We each chose a small plate option as we were tired from travelling and both meals hit the spot. We were then invited to take a look at the secret garden which was really pretty & lovely views of the canal. Because of this experience we ate there a second time during our week’s holiday and again the food and service was good.

Booked dinner as a non resident. Would describe as pretty good, not memorable but equally not bad. Prices, food choice good. Service at table good. Pork Chop meal was ok, greens a bit stringy and tasteless. Pork Chop was bland, very little taste to it. Ambience very nice. Food quality could be improved upon.

Popped in here for a drink because the pub next door was absolutely packed and there was nowhere to sit outside. The bar wasn't too busy and we were able to take our drinks outside into their 'secret garden'. The secret garden was located upstairs, in an enclosed quiet area to the side of the hotel, and it was absolutely lovely. There's plenty of seating around a central lawn area with a working dolphin fountain! A lovely spot to stop for a drink away from the bustle of Bude!

We attended a wedding here, the ceremony was held in the conservatory adjoining a large well maintained garden area with a view of the beach, the meal was served for about 50 guests in a nicely decorated side room which opened up for the disco in the evening.|In my opinion the event went off without a hitch and was very well organised from start to finish the meal was first class. The staff were smart friendly and professional.|We thoroughly enjoyed our day at the Falcon Hotel.

We enjoyed a lovely stay this week for 2 nights. The service was fantastic, from the front desk through to the restaurant staff, everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to help us. Special mention goes to Alan who remembered our names and even sorted us some pastries for the journey home!
The location is perfect for a wander to the beach or into town, but equally the secret garden is so beautiful, we didn’t want to leave!
The reason for the 4-star rating is simply that the room decor needs updating a little, but besides that, our trip was wonderful. We will be back on anniversaries to come!

Had my sons wedding reception here yesterday, the staff were amazing and super attentive. The setting was stunning with the tables laid out beautifully. The food was amazing, I felt it was definitely value for money. Would high recommend. A shout-out especially to Donna and Lin, thank you both so much for taking care of us xx

I would highly recommend a stay at The Falcon, a great location in Bude right next to the Estuary. The rooms have recently been refurbished and I love the history that has been retained as the hotel was first at this site in late 1790’s.||The hotel is very clean, well equipped bathrooms and nice bedrooms. The staff are very friendly, with a good bar where you can eat as well as a more formal dinning room, all the food is good fresh, a varied choice and well presented. The hotel is very dog friendly and they are allowed everywhere except the formal restaurant. They provide lovely touches, dog bed, bowls, treats and you can order a sausage for them at breakfast.|A lovely private garden with seating areas and a bar. Grateful views over the town, we will definitely visit again.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend for 3 nights with breakfast included. Staff Were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely with plenty of options. Positioned well, by the canal and short walk to the beach and town centre.

There is limited parking with an overflow car park, but was able to get a space eventually, you may just need to wait around for a bit.

Unfortunately our stay was not as peaceful as we had hoped. There was a wedding on the Saturday and celebrations carried on until the early hours. Our room was above the front of the hotel where everyone was smoking, vaping and drunkenly singing. Have no issues with people enjoying themselves, but the windows are thin so could hear everything. It would have been nice to get a heads up that there was a wedding on site as we could have looked at alternatives, it was quite a let down considering the amount we paid. We were hoping for a lay in next day but were then woken up by window cleaners.

Overall a really nice hotel with lovely staff and a great breakfast and Sunday roast, but I would recommend checking ahead if they have any large functions before booking and if so request a back room. Also double glazing at the front may help with the noise, as it is next to a pub as well.
