Lovely meal again. 2 x roast dinners (1 lamb, 1 beef) and a kids fish, chips and peas. Very yummy. All had the choc brownie pudding and it was delicious. Staff were attentive and service was quick. I enjoy coming here.

Thanks for response, I haven't had a discussion this morning, who did you ring?
But I welcome your confirmation that you have now cancelled and there is no charges applied as I would expect.

Some weeks ago we booked a room for 28 March, so we could attend an event at Kings Hill.
We exchanged messages on quiet room, non available breakfast etc.
We than cancelled the room, giving weeks of notice, following a potential medical issue and the fact we had cancelled the event we were attending.
I asked for confirmation that no cancellation charges applied, for which I received confirmation of the same.
2 days prior to the original arrival I have now received a preregistration form for the room and asking if I want a table for dinner!
I have reminded them about our timely notifications of cancellation and I await their reply.

Booked this for a Sunday roast and wasn't disappointed. Prompt friendly service and the food was delicious. I opted for the roast leg of lamb, and it was spot on, thank you.

We booked for Christmas Day lunch and it was everything that we could of hoped for. The food was delicious, staff were all happy and helpful. The lovely Holly who was serving us went the extra mile by helping us with our elderly family member through the busy pub to our table. Thank you Holly for making the day really special 🙂

Had a last minute Sunday meal at the Farmhouse today and was very impressed!
Fast service, tasty food which was piping hot. Very attentive staff without being overbearing. Family friendly, highly recommend, just a shame we couldn’t stay longer.

We visited The Farmhouse today and were greeted rather curtly by someone who I believe may have been the manager. After waiting for our table, things initially took a positive turn when a delightful waitress came over to us. Unfortunately, that’s where the experience started to decline.

After the initial contact, it became a struggle to get anything we needed. We had to ask multiple times for things that were forgotten, and it seemed nearly impossible to get anyone’s attention. The staff seemed to have tunnel vision, walking into the restaurant focused solely on specific tasks, entirely ignoring the other tables.

Years ago, when I worked in a pub/restaurant, we were taught to always check on the other tables after finishing up with a customer, to ensure everyone was happy and no one was trying to get your attention. This was the complete opposite. The staff made sure to avoid any eye contact with diners.

As for the food, it was mediocre at best. I debated removing the service charge, but the lovely waitress who initially served us was so kind that I decided to leave it. Overpriced for the quality of food and service.

Elite Pubs used to have an outstanding reputation, but having visited a few of their establishments recently, I’ve noticed a considerable decline in service quality.

What a beautiful pub and the food here is amazing and I can honestly recommend the roast lamb with cauliflower cheese to share.

But the service is very slow, it took nearly 10 minutes to get a drink and order our food.

It took nearly another 10 minutes to get the bill after they took our plates from the table.

Perhaps it’s an off day.
