Exorbitantly expensive eating. All mains around £30 and up. 3 of us had hamburgers at £21. They were no different from any high street offering. Strange tasting ice cream for dessert with a tiny scrape of chocolate sauce. Rhubarb fool also ordinary and small at £11. There are lots of other restaurants close by offering better value and more taste

This beautiful refurbished hotel was so welcoming as was the staff. A contemporary yet traditional bar area with log burner sets the scene for drinks before dinner. The food was superb I had them venison cooked perfectly and hubby had the gorgeous duck again cooked to perfection, now the sides especially the potatoes were like fine layers crisp up in to a perfect roast potato.|Staff were attentive maybe a little too much but that’s my preference to be left alone a bit more!

Went for an evening meal at The Nest restaurant at the Feathers Hotel and entered to a warm welcome by very friendly staff. The restaurant and hotel had recently been refurbished to a very high standard, and The Aviary bar was very cosy with a lovely log fire. A good varied menu with some modern, well executed twists. The food was excellent and well presented, and I would recommend the venison that came with a side of mash topped with venison regu. The restaurant staff were attentive and provided a great service. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience

I have eaten several times at The Feathers Hotel, and I can't recommend it enough.||We dined in the hotel's restaurant, The Nest, and the food is simply outstanding. The Aviary bar is also excellent, with an impressive cocktail selection, with some really unique, creative concoctions, and the new renovation offers a luxurious space to enjoy them in.||Whether you’re staying overnight or just passing through, don’t miss the chance to indulge in their amazing food and drinks. Highly recommended!

We had a 2 night stay this weekend at The Feathers and this is one of the few hotels I have stayed in that I was reluctant to leave. I love being in my own home in my own bed so to find a hotel that I’m not quick to leave is amazing. The hotel itself is warm and welcoming, made more so by the professional and friendly employees. ||We stayed in a suite that was really well appointed. A large king sized bed with separate living area and an amazing bathroom with shower and a roll top bath. The room had everything you could need for a comfortable stay and the attention to detail made it feel really cosy. Genuinely one of best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel. ||Breakfast was great with a good selection, as was dinner on the Saturday night. Good vegetarian options and everything was delicious. Again, great service in the restaurant. ||They have a secure car park a few minutes walk away which meant we didn’t have to worry about parking. ||Overall, this was just a great place to stay, so much so we have already booked to stay again in December.

GOOD:| - Central location in the middle of the town and only 10 minutes walk from Blenheim Palace.| - Restaurant is very good.| - Excellent staff. Selectively recruited, very well-trained, and every single one was really friendly and helpful, from reception and restaurant down to housekeeping.||NOT SO GOOD:| - Prices are high for the size and standard of rooms. Definitely paying for location not quality.| - Possibly personal preference, but we both found the beds hard and uncomfortable.| - No full length mirror in the room.| - No magnifying mirror in the bathroom.| - Breakfast is not great. Bacon is cheap streaky rather than back. No cereals, fruit or yogurt on the menu. | - Parking is a bit of a pain. Free car park is 5 minutes walk. Street parking costs £10 if you can find a space.||All in all I'm not sure whether or not we will stay here again on our visits to Blenheim Palace.

Beautiful hotel, popped in for an impromptu cream tea, made to feel very welcome by all staff. Nothing was too much trouble, delicious scones, a perfect afternoon.

Having just reopened (October 2024) after a significant refit this is now a really cozy boutique hotel in the middle of the town.|There are wonderfully peaceful nooks around a very chic bar where you can sit by a fire and enjoy just about any cocktail or tea your heart desires.|We also enjoyed a great meal in the restaurant where the menu will appeal to anyone and the staff are welcoming and attentive.|We stayed in a sumptuous room with just about any amenity you could want including the obligatory slippers and bathrobe.
