Visited today with my son and certainly didn’t disappoint :-))
Everything I had hoped for & more ! Have been wanting to try this little gem for some time now .

Excellent food & great old fashioned surroundings. Desserts are to die for Sunday roast was excellent. It’s expensive compared to pretty much everywhere else I have eaten locally but the food is really excellent. My only gripe was they add a 10% tip to the bill without mentioning it , even though just a table for 2. Don’t begrudge the tip Was worth it but it should be a choice Would recommend but expect around £50 per head for food & a drink

A beautiful proper country pub! Fantastic food and service! The bangers and mash were absolutely incredible! Really lovely cosy atmosphere - I'd recommend!

Really enjoyed our visit here. The food was excellent and the service really good. Parking was a little confusing as it's not signposted (that I could see) - you can park on the road or there's very limited parking just to the left as you turn into the pub's grounds.
It was a cosy and inviting experience on a windy and damp January.

The Feathers is just perfect. The food is sublime, the atmosphere is cosy, warm and classy without being pretentious. The service is absolutely excellent. Deserves to be considered in the conversation for one of the region's best gastropubs going.

Had Sunday lunch, which was great. Starter of pork loin cut very thin, served cold with accompaniments.
The roast beef melted in your mouth.
Had profiteroles to finish, lovely filling of blueberry cream but choux pastry was very hard which was disappointing after such a great meal.

I would love to give this 5 stars all round but despite being one of the best Sunday lunches taste and quality wise, it was let down by being on the cool side. The food arrived being held with cloths suggesting piping hot plates, they were just warm and the meat and veg were the same. The quality and flavour was however most excellent and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
