Lovely clean room, the spa bath was a welcome sight after a whole day out fossiling, very friendly hosts, situated in a brilliant location plenty of parking. A slight niggle that was addressed straight away nothing too much trouble. I wasn’t keen on the cooked breakfast but that was me not them i am a fussy eater. The extra bed spread needs freshening up as i suspect that dog owners have used it and put it back and unfortunately it smells of dog but again how would the guest house know if its just been put back and as we don’t have dogs it was noticeable. Overall we had a lovely stay the extras were a lovely touch. Thank you for a lovely stay xx

Stayed here this weekend.
Arrived on a motorcycle which they made space for in the garage to be kept locked up safe overnight. We were made to feel very welcome by a lovely lady. We were even treated to two pieces of banana cake in our room. My room was non smoking clean and bright. Tea coffee in the room. Lovely room with double bed and ensuite shower wet room. Shower was hot and towels soft n fluffy. Even had choice of pillows for bed to suit anyone's taste.
Quiet and peaceful. Great nights sleep.
Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Full english cooked fresh upon order as well as toast fruit cereals etc. More than enough to set you up for the days biking even with "bracing" weather. All staff were friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend The Firs. Not too far from the beach and will definitely stay here again.

We stayed two nights and were very well looked after. Mandy is extremely friendly and welcoming. Be warned her breakfast is not for those with a small stomach! Food was great and cooked to order, wide range of choice. Perfect stop if walking th Cleveland way. Local pub. Free car parking. Wheelchair access. Would highly recommend.

Stopped off while walking the Cleveland Way. Room was nice and we were made welcome. Unfortunately didn't stop for breakfast as we set off early to avoid the high tide cutting off the beach path.

After Me andmy daughter decided to go fossil hunting We booked one night so we could start early in the morning. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I really Pleasant proprietor Lots of parking after a restful sleep we was treated to what I can only say is the nicest breakfast I’ve had at a guest house homemade jams lovely homemade bread and delicious full breakfast And dog friendly, I will definitely be staying again

Just returned from an amazing 4 night stay at The Firs in Runswick. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was cosy, bed very comfy, wet room was great. Best thing though were the breakfast. The food was cooked to order with proper waiter service, and excellent produce. This is so unlike what we have become used to these days in most hotels. ||There is a pub very close by (the Royal I think) where we ate in the evenings and I have to say the food there was excellent and worth a visit. ||Runswick itself is quaint, lots of walks and the regular bus to Whitby stops almost outside. A very relaxing break and we will be back.

We had a great 2 night stay at The Firs while we toured the area on our motorbikes. We had secure storage for the bikes and a really warm welcome as we arrived wet through! Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a pint at the Runswick Bay Hotel pub just a few minutes walk away. The breakfast choice was amazing! Really fresh and locally sourced and kept us going all day. Thankyou for a great stay!

Just returned after a few days away staying at the firs and could not fault anything everywhere is spotlessly clean and each room is different and well equipped. Our room number 4 had the most comfortable bed and top class bedding and pillows also a jacuzzi bath made a nice touch after a day sightseeing. The breakfast was delicious with all fresh products and homemade jams and marmalade. There's a bus stop just outside where you can get a bus to the surrounding areas without having to drive and worry about parking I would not hesitate to recommend this guesthouse to anyone who is visiting the area
