Had a lovely lunch on a relatively quiet Monday end of April. Very dog friendly, lovely warm staff. We sat in a cozy room just off the bar. We found they have a roof terrace too. Toilets very clean. Food was very ample and top notch. The staff definitely make this place. Prices reasonable too. Call in you won’t be disappointed, glad we did.

Wonderful place to stay- peaceful despite its main road location, with views across Haworth. The staff were lovely, the room was quiet, comfortable and clean with cute welcoming touches. And the food? Amazing!! Huge portions but so good. Can’t wait to go back. Was my first solo trip but it was brilliant.

A delicious meal after a long day of travel. The butterfly chicken on top of mash, with a side of veg, was outstanding. Wholesome and hearty without being heavy, a miraculous feat for most restaurants serving a meat-and-potatoes dish. I believe these were local ingredients, freshly acquired. (If not, I was none the wiser.) To drink, I had the best tasting gin and tonic of my life, though its potency was more than I planned for, and I had to leave it unfinished for fear that I would be crawling back to my inn if I continued with it. As a solo diner with a gluten intolerance, I was welcomed and treated very well. Highly recommend. Eager to return.

We stayed at the lovely Fleece Inn for one night, we had a twin room which was really nice, it had a very modern bathroom which the landlady said had only been recently installed. The beds were really comfortable and there was a kettle with tea, coffee etc for your morning cuppa. Breakfast was included and there was loads of choice, everything was very fresh and delicious. We also had dinner there, which we both really enjoyed and the portions were very generous, booking for dinner is advisable as the pub gets very busy whatever day it is. The view from our room over Haworth was stunning and it’s in a great location on Main Street for exploring the area. There isn’t any parking but you are able to park in Central car park overnight once you have booked in for £4.50 which is added to your bill and it’s only a short walk away from the pub. We would most certainly stay here again.

Booked a table of 7 in for Sunday dinner and some vegetarian meals too, and the food was exceptionally delicious, service was perfect and we all just felt so looked after. It was an absolute joy and I can't sing the praises of the fleece any higher. The pies (cheese and onion, and steak and ale) were huge much to my husband's absolute delight and all were super generous with great ingredients.
I also want to mention how excellent they keep their casks. I had some Timothy Taylor bolt maker and it was DIVINE.
Absolutely brilliant time had by all. Thanks to everyone at the Fleece for hosting such a wonderful meal.

We didn’t stay here but had booked dinner months ago after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious! The steak and ale pie and sticky toffee pudding were the best we’ve ever had. The chicken with leek sauce and the bangers and mash were also amazing. Atmosphere was so cozy with the fire. Thank you so much.

9/03/25 What a wonderful inn, highly recommended. Fabulous meals in the evening, fish and chips, roast and gammon. Great full English breakfasts the next morning. Rooms clean and modern and very peaceful with no noise during the night. Special shout out to the guy who checked us in, very attentive and informative and also the very welcoming and happy lady who greeted us for breakfast, exactly the type of person you need to start your day with a smile 😃

Recently had a visit to Haworth and first popped in here before a few drinks and sampling what was on offer elsewhere. After looking at various menus along the way, we decided to come back to The Fleece. They did say booking was advisable but we were found a table. I ordered the chicken with leek and wendsleydale sauce and my husband the burger. I had mash and seasonal veg with the chicken which were both cooked to perfection. I don't like dry dinners and usually drench my food in gravy (probably a northern thing) but no need with this meal. My husband gave the burger 10/10 and said it was the nicest one he'd had in a long time. The down side we ordered two sides of onion rings. The portions were huge and they were so light and crispy and not greasy like most places. We definitely only needed have ordered one though! Great selection of Timothy Taylor but I ordered my favourite Landlord. We found the staff pleasant and had no issues with them and the whole place rustic but not dirty
