Lovely 2 night stay over bank holiday weekend for a Goodwood event. Room was comfy with a lovely view into the field out back and the food was stunning with friendly staff. Breakfast included for both mornings prepared freshly and we had 3 course meals on the Saturday that was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Gutted we weren't back in time to have. Sunday roast as I can only imagine how good it would've been. Shall return if we ever need to stay over in the area again.

Good food. But overall, lacking something? Would stay again at a pinch though. Don't stay if you are not dog friendly. There was one couple with FOUR dogs in their room!!

Poor reception, presence not acknowledged for several minutes, Bedroom very small, carpet grubby, bathroom decor poor, (skirting board rotted) no plug for the bath, windows very poorly maintained, damp, paint flaking, BUT the bed was comfortable!! Evening meal very mediocre, Breakfast just about OK but bacon uneatable, like leather, offered a second sausage instead, but too late. Paid £80 on Booking.com, but actual price should have been 70...even that would have been excessive for the place. Wouldn't recommend it, and will def NOT be going back...sorry!

We came as a group to The Flying Bull for a Christmas party for a local WI. We had a brilliant evening. The manager and staff did an amazing job with the tables and decorations. There was a very good choice of menu. The food was tasty, presented well and served well. The staff couldn’t do enough to please us. It was a great evening. Our group were very pleased with all the effort put in. We will be back next year Thank you.

Sadly the bed is like lying on a bench. Really hard. The breakfast is very small if you can not or do not want an item on the breakfast menu (which you have to order the evening before), no extras of anything else offered. This location is very very over priced for what yoi get. We went to a different hotel the following day at nearly half the price and it was far superior in comfort and food. The morning serving staff were very nice and helpful but the rest let it down. The staff should check around T V. Appears never to be cleaned, thick dust.

We stayed for a night and the room was very comfortable and clean .
The staff very helpful and polite and we had dinner that was Lamb shank and was amazing and cooked extremely well and the following morning the breakfast was good and would stay here again .

Good welcome from the host and staff. Pub is on a roadside which can be noisy and fast at peak time but quiet otherwise.
