This is a nice local cafe in a glorious park.
There’s heaps of room inside the lovely old building, and if the weather is good, sit outside in the courtyard with the kids and dogs.
Coffee is good, and there’s a decent range of cakes and biscuits.

Lovely park to walk around.
Cafe is very spacious, Staff nice, but service can be slow when busy.
Went again recently, food prices seem to be expensive, so won't be eating here again. Ordered 2 teas. The cup was a small cup, and the pot was the smallest I've seen, it did 1 and half of the small cup. It was like an extra pot you get to top up the water in the pot. (You don't get this here) so, I did ask for the pot to be refilled with water. When you go to different places, you realise the differences.

Over priced and you have to pay 60pence extra for decaf coffee. The large coffee size would be standard elsewhere. Only had toasted teacake due to prices and this was £3:75 with just butter..large breakfast £14:50. Food may be good but we no longer have meals there due to hike in prices

First visit to the new cafe located in the Derby Wing of Worden Hall. After a refit by the local council the building is lovely with an outside court yard. Surrounded by Worden Park it is great location. We ordered our food which was served quickly and was very good. I would recommend. Note parking is on the car park which is 5 minutes away unless you are disabled. There is a disabled car park at Worden Hall. Note there is still some refurb ongoing so there is still work going on around the hall. Would recommend a visit.

They had a few gluten free cake options which was really nice. The staff were friendly and took down our allergies on their notepad when we ordered. The lemon meringue gluten free pie was delicious.

We're regulars here and have always had a positive experience. The atmosphere is pleasant, the decor welcoming and the tables always clean. The staff are friendly and the menu has a nice selection of cold and hot food. Bearing in mind the rising cost of EVERYTHING, I think the prices are reasonable in comparison to other, local park cafés. There is a nice selection of fresh cakes (mostly appear to be Costco but nothing wrong with a Costco cake) and cold drinks. This morning we visited and enjoyed food from the breakfast menu. There was a short wait for service, which was not unreasonable, and we were very happy with the food ordered. The small breakfast was a nice sized portion with good quality ingredients and the eggs royale was very nicely prepared - possibly one of the nicest I have eaten in a café.
It would be nice if a children's menu was available, with half sized portions for children - including cakes, which are generously portioned. Lastly, the cafe serves ice cream, which can be a bit of a faff to order, with the ice-cream counter awkwardly situated away from the main counter. On busier days, it would make make more sense if it was staffed separately, with an option to pay at the ice cream counter for those of us only wanting ice cream/cold drinks. In fact, moving the ice cream counter to replace the sofa area and adding a couple of fridges for customers to help themselves to cold drinks would be an all round advantage.
