What a great find. Myself and a colleague were in the area for work so booked 2 rooms at the Forge. The place is really amazing. Set in a quiet village with 2 pubs within walking distance for an evening meal. The rooms came with a fridge, milk, bread, butter, jams, eggs, toaster, egg cooker, cafetière and fresh coffee, orange juice to make your own breakfast. Rooms were immaculate and spacious, with super comfy bed. Really quiet location and had a great sleep. Nothing was too much trouble, even getting vegan and gluten free alternatives for us. Would highly recommend if you are staying in the area and I will certainly return in the future!

Stunning. Totally blown away. Great room in a lovely village. Self serve breakfast brilliant. Hot tub a great additional and for such an amazing price. Felt totally relaxed. Host super friendly, informative and easily contactable.

Me and my boyfriend have stayed in the Pig Sty and The Smithy now and both times have been perfect. The rooms are stunning, clean and equipped with everything you need, attention to detail is adorable (bottles of milk, orange juice, eggs, jars of jam etc) hot tub was amazing, beds are ridiculously comfy. Would recommend to everyone x

We recently stayed in The Smithy room which Liz has ensured has everything you need and more. From toiletries to milk, bread, butter, jam, orange juice and a few other treats. Liz really goes the extra mile to make it feel like a home from home. The hot tub is fantastic and the icing on the cake. We will certainly book again. Keep up the good work, Liz! 🙂

It takes a lot for accommodation to impress me, but this blew me away.|Fabulous location, fabulous room with a hot tub and a great self service breakfast in your room. |Great local pub next door that serve amazing food and beer.|Host is easily contactable and super informative and friendly.|I will come back again very soon.

We stayed here for one night on our way up to North Yorkshire

We had the pig sty room which was extremely clean comfortable and well equipped.
There is a pub restaurant called the falcon Inn which is literally a few minutes walk down the road.
I met Liz the host of the forge guest rooms while i was loading the car just before we left and found her to be very pleasant and could not do enough for us.

My 6 year old son and I stayed here from Christmas eve until boxing day. Our room had a lovely, peaceful energy and Liz was a welcoming, kind and generous host. Our Christmas here was magical and super fun. The hot tub was a fantastic addition, we both thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone wanting a beautiful place to just be, we will definitely be returning.

We stayed at The Forge having spent the day in Nottingham. We arrived in the dark so didn’t really get to see much of the surrounding area but the room was beautiful. Comfortable bed and extremely clean. We had to self check-in and Liz gave clear directions for this. Breakfast in the room was very well done. We were both very impressed.
