Warm welcome, polite and friendly staff who go out of their way to help. All the staff seemed to get along and happy in their work which gives a really nice atmosphere. Tastefully decorated, super comfy bed, and clean. Nice bar area and tasty breakfast.

We stayed at the Francis for 2 nights for our mini-moon, and we have to say it was brilliant. We would definitely be going back. When we got there our room wasn't quite ready, but that was because we had been upgraded to the largest suite in the hotel, and because it wasn't ready we were offered a complimentary drink at the bar. The lovely girl at the front desk offered to take our bags to the room and if we wanted our drinks bringing to the room. |When we got to our suite, it was beautiful. Fantastic view of the park in front of the hotel, lovely big bed, a seating area, large televisions and a lovely bathroom with under floor heating. |There were rose petals on the bed with towel swans, the hotel had left a congratulations desert on the table and a voucher for a bottle of prosecco to take to the bar all complimentary. Also there was a lovely card of congratulations on the table! |Our room was cleaned twice a day, fresh bedding, towels, dressing gowns. The amazing housekeepers even put my clothes in the wardrobe I had placed over the chair! |Overall the staff made our little stay extra special, we were made to feel very welcome and as though they were happy for our mini-moon. We will definitely be back.

We had a really good experience at the Francis hotel and are most grateful for all the kindness we received from all the staff. The welcome at reception and the way they checked we were ok when they saw us was much appreciated. Our room was lovey a feature room, our friend and son were pleased with their rooms too. The hotel appear to be coping with the building work well. Hope to return next year. Many thanks.

We stayed at the excellent Queen's Hotel in Cheltenham last year so were keen to try The Francis which is part of the same group. We weren't disappointed and enjoyed our stay. The location is incredibly central and we were pleased that we managed to find a space in the small car park behind the hotel. The room was spacious and overlooked the square. All was clean and charming. All of the staff we spoke to were polite and helpful. I recommend an after dinner drink in the quiet bar, the house cocktail is worth trying. We did not eat dinner in the hotel as there is such a good choice of restaurants in Bath but the buffet breakfast was delicious and the dining room is decorated beautifully. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a lovely weekend away.

My grandma stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time.
The hotel looks gorgeous and they had a lovely little nod to Halloween on the welcome desk.
All the staff were incredibly friendly and kind to us and everyone I heard them speak to.
The room was very comfortable and well maintained. My grandma struggles with mobility and the room was perfect for her.
The location is brilliant. You're in a pretty square and 2 mins walk from shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.

Excellent hotel in great location of Bath. Close to all the great attractions and churches. Was little bummed when we seen all the scaffolding and construction but once inside heard no noise. Staff was excellent from check in to bar and restaurant. Bar is great due to Bath bars closing a bit early for us Americans that stay up late lol. Room was super comfy, bed was great and. Bathroom was nice

Brilliant A+ the rooms are of decent size, with coffee making facilities, mini fridge, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast great and plentiful. Bar is good, limited drinks on tap.

Everything about our stay was brilliant, from communication at booking to check in and restaurant service.||We visited the hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday, upon check in we had a note in the room from the hotel team wishing Happy Birthday along with a free bottle of fizz. ||Reception staff were very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. ||The hotel is perfectly located, an easy walk to the main areas||We will definitely be going back
