Well to say I was pleasantly surprised when we entered our room was an understatement. It was one of the courtyard rooms and labelled as an 'economy' room but it was really lovely and the cherry on the icing being the air conditioning- very very appreciated in this heatwave. The room was modern, clean, a large bathroom, a mini fridge (again very welcome in this weather) and complimentary slippers a nice touch. We even had our own private little seating g area outside our room. The breakfast was lovely and the 2 young lads working in the breakfast room were very pleasant and hard working. Would 100% recommend this place. Excellent value for money

We stayed as a couple for three nights bed and breakfast and unfortunately had to make a last-minute change on room requirements.
The booking manager could not have been more helpful.
The food was so good that we ate at the restaurant on all three nights- why go elsewhere when it’s perfect. The evening menu had lots of choice and the chips and steaks were very good and perfectly cooked. Breakfast was also excellent each morning with plenty of choice.
The room was extremely clean with plenty of space and very good showers.
All the staff throughout our stay both at the bar and in the restaurant were excellent, very polite and extremely helpful.
If we return to the area, this will definitely be the place we return to.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Frocester for one night while helping out at the motocross, and I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. The room I booked was exactly as described—cosy, cute, and perfectly suited for one person. Everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully arranged, making it a really comfortable stay.

What really stood out to me, though, was the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and even the patrons at the bar made me feel so welcome; it had a real community feel. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything so right, but The Frocester truly does.

I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in that part of the country. Highly recommended!

We loved it.
After learning the correct way to pronounce Frocester, we loved our stay even more.
The staff are brilliant. Gary and Joe made us feel at home.
The chefs in the kitchen deserve a special mention.
Whether it be breakfast or dinner, the attention to detail is superb.
We are visiting from Sydney, Australia and the Frocester George is a must-do place to visit in a location which appears far, far away from anywhere, yet is situated no more than five kilometres from Stroud.

Lovely meal at the Frocester today. I had spaghetti with a tomato and olive sauce, which was delicious, and my husband had a cajun chicken burger with home cooked chips (the chips were divine). Excellent food and service.

We stayed here as part of a Cotswold Way walking trip. The shower was hot and the bed comfortable so all good. We also ate in the restaurant and there was a good choice of food. I went for the vegetarian dish from the specials menu and that was excellent. Thank you.

First time here and I must say absolutely beautiful food the mushrooms ordered were huge definitely wasn’t expecting that size.we were served by Ethan.friendly and welcoming would definitely come again.

Stay here whenever I come down for work trips and is always the highlight of my trip!
