Scenic little pub on the Avon. Good menu, good beers, pleasant staff. Very scenic at sunset with a very high river level. A couple of gripes; visiting for an early Friday dinner, too many menu items were not available, and the steak and ale pie I chose as a substitute had a very poor quality filling, no decent chunks of beef at all. Couldn't decide if it was bought or home made.

2 very tasty lunches in The Frog. Plus terrific Riverside setting. Last time we visited it was a sunny summers day and loads of people enjoying being in the river from the park on the opposite side.

Popped in for a late lunch and a beer after completing a 5 mile walk from Bidford along the river to Cleeve Prior, via Marlcliff.

Drinks were sound and the fish and chips were gorgeous!! Service with a smile from everyone.

Just needs a lick of paint in places, and the toilets sorting out.

Still, excellent staff and fab food.

As someone who isn't picky about food I was appalled. To start with there was limited choice as the kitchen was out of a lot of items. The roast dinner was awful, potatoes looked old and were a bit soft and flavourless, I couldn't actually chew the parsnips as they were almost raw and there was no gravy served to help the situation. We sat by the river and although the view was lovely there was food on the floor under the tables and it just didn't seem too well kept. That said the staff were lovely and I couldn't fault their service. Would return only for a drink and a view but definitely not the food.

1st time as in the area for my sons wedding. Excellent service very clean. Friendly staff, lovely spot by the river and the food was amazing.
