A new standard in excellence!

You ask for it and they will provide! Ordered the George burger for dinner..... with extra burger, extra bacon and 2 x eggs and what an absolute MONSTER it was! Cooked to perfection with crispy fries and slaw. The new chef is making his mark and it's well worth checking out.

Had dinner here and the food was great. The pub is also able to accommodate large groups of people as long as you book in advance. Drinks are a little more than some places in Chichester but not expensive.
Accommodation is decent, had a friend stay here shower in their room didn't extend up yo their hight so something o be aware of

This was a mixed bag stay. On the plus side, the pub itself is really neat, good beer selection and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The location is ideal, right on the Main Street and within walking distance to anything you might want to do. Your overnight booking comes with a complimentary breakfast, which does include kitchen made items. When they have the food in stock, it’s really good.
On the flip side, the room we stayed in (two twins) was immensely dirty. Mold in the shower, hair and dirt in the linens, the fabric head boards were dirty, cobwebs everywhere and just a general unclean feeling. When we brought the sheets and mold to the staff attention, they were minimally concerned. They offered to have the maid come by the next day to clean, but after she did there was very little noticeable difference. For lunch and dinner, the kitchen ran out of most food things by Friday.
Overall, it’s a small pub with rooms out the back, probably better suited to sleeping off one too many beers than an extended stay.

I have just returned from staying at this B&B for the past couple of days. Location is great with a nice walk into the high street and was greeted with a great welcome from the staff member who showed us to our room. ||Room was basic but was ok but unfortunately we seemed to have a leak in the bathroom from the toilet of which the staff moved us to another room of which the new room also had issues where the sink water wouldn’t flow down the sink. ||Very loud especially when some guests are louder than others but again this B&B is located within a pub setting so do expect to get this. ||Food. |Restaurant room within the pub was very cold but the food portions were a great size. Breakfast gave you a few options from continental to choice of fry up, choice of eggs on toast or omelette but wasn’t nothing to rave about but it done its job to fill your stomach.||Although I don’t think we would stay here again as the rooms clearly need a lot of TLC and attention especially for the issues to not to be covered up, one thing that was 10/10 was the hospitality of the staff who couldn’t do more for you.

This is the worst room we've ever stayed in. We complained about the grim room we were put in at first and they moved us to another room which we were told had been renovated but the only 'renovation' was that one wall had been painted to cover over the mould. The room was poorly maintained, dirty, mouldy, scuffed and peeling paintwork, dirty walls, old broken furnishings, paint on the carpet and torn duvet cover. The toilet leaked, there was no extraction in the bathroom and the over-sink light didn't work. The room hadn't even been cleaned prior to our arrival and we had to ask the staff to come and hoover after I found the previous residents toenails on the carpet. Really disgusting. We went and bought antibacterial wipes and cleaned all the surfaces and bathroom ourselves. We didn't risk having the breakfast.||We weren't able to move anywhere else as the city was very busy due to it being Goodwood Revival weekend, but we would have most definitely not stayed there had there been alternative accommodation. You couldn't even pay us to stay here again with the property in it's current state. The owner needs to completely strip out and renovate the rooms, put in new bathrooms, carpets and furnishings and employ cleaners who actually clean. This standard of rooms are unacceptable and the owners should be frankly embarrassed to offer these rooms and by the lack of care and investment in their property. The staff were helpful and did try their best to rectify things when we complained and seemed embarrassed by the poor quality of the accommodation. The only good thing about the place, other than the staff, is the location which is very central.

Don't book if you want to sleep before 11pm. The rooms are overlooking the pub's outside area and the noise level was very high. Fortunately the room I was in was dim and dank so I was able to close the tiny window without overheating.|The beds were uncomfortable and the shower cubicle didn't close properly and the grout was stained. |The staff were attentive and one of the breakfasts was very good. Breakfast the next day was hampered by the hotel running out of milk. The restaurant and public areas are attractive and the location is excellent for the theatres and Northgate long-stay car park.

Dirty. Every surface was either dirty or dusty, could write your name in it. Will not stay again or recommend. Please train your cleaners to clean or get new ones! Breakfast was a mish mash of items either over cooked, under cooked or cooked the day before and heated up , yuk. You miss on every level apart from location..but then that has nothing to do with you ..|Coukd be a great place if time and effort, attention to detail was put in it.

I held a halloween makeup master class in the back room.
A woman called Hannah was ready to help, nothing was too much effort.
The ladies that came to the event all enjoyed the evening and commented on how realxing the venue was and great service.
