Had a very comfortable stay in a peaceful and very well appointed room.|The hotel is tastefully decorated and has a good carpark.|Received a warm, friendly welcome on arrival by the proprietors and staff, who were very helpful.|We enjoyed a delicious evening meal and a substantial, hearty breakfast.||The hotel is about a 10minutes drive from the M6 J35 and is in the small village of Warton, Warton Crag is a pleasant walk nearby.

I've come here a few times on my way home from various hikes with a club, and they're always so lovely and accommodating for our group. We order in the region of 30 meals (which we note down ahead of arriving for them), as well as ordering drinks at the bar when we arrive, and it's one of the most efficient set-ups I've experienced as part of a group anywhere. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the place is clean and looked after, and the food and drink hit the spot!

Huge room with a comfy King/Queen bed and even huge-er en-suite. Nicely decorated and loads of quality storage and new bathroom ! Surprisingly quiet nights rest with a fabulous breakfast. A true and real hidden gem. Tip> Sourced off the usual suspects and then booked direct so that James & Janet get the full fare.

We booked a B&B night to break up a very long journey, found it friendly and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and we ate an evening meal at the bar too which was both good value and very tasty. The beer was good too!

The room was lovely. Shower a bit small in the en suite but otherwise tip top. I was worried about being over a pub but needn’t have been. Good night’s sleep and no trouble at all.||Hospitality ok. A bit stilted and not overly welcoming on arrival and service at breakfast was a bit high and mighty but still decent enough. Note the door into the bar for breakfast isn’t locked, despite looking like it is. Why they don’t just open it I don’t know but I could tell I was considered thick for not knowing this. ||Breakfast itself was excellent. However note you only have a 30 minute window (8.30-9.00) to take it and it’s the full English or nothing (apart from cereals). Not even a choice of eggs. Not a problem for us but best be aware of this. Quality of ingredients was excellent as was the cooking.||Price was decent too. Overall very good.

Loved this pub. Have stayed at many pubs over the years and often regretted it as they can be unloved or grubby or tired. Not this one; spotlessly clean, light room and surprisingly large too. Super-comfy, big bed. Clean, pleasant bathroom with nice shower. Hospitable, welcoming hosts (in a suitably understated Lancashire style of course). Lovely cooked breakfast, nice coffee. And the real ale was all excellent as well. Many thanks, I wish there were more places like this.
