When it comes to food, drink and fetes the Gipsy Hill Smokehouse joined the Gipsy Hill Brewery and the Friends of Gipsy Hill to provide the best food for the local community fete. With the hog roast for the meat lovers and a vegan/vegetarian option (can't remember what it was as I was enjoying pig with all the trimmings and sauces). Tim and the team can adapt to any scale of catering required from 10's of people to 1000's of people and each meal hand crafted by his amazing team. 5 stars and 6th with a cherry on it!! From the initial inquiry to the day of the event, Tim is professional, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, offering valuable help with menu planning and budgeting. The hog roast with Porchetta marinade is the star of the show—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. It truly makes an event unforgettable.

But it's not just the hog roast that impresses; their barbecue offerings are equally mouthwatering. From succulent reverse-seared Tomahawk steaks to melt-in-your-mouth rotisserie chickens and delectable halloumi kebabs for the vegetarians, everything is cooked to perfection. Even the vegan burgers are a hit! The salads and sides prepared by Tim's wife, Katy, are fresh, colorful, delicious, and beautifully presented, offering a great variety to satisfy all guests, including those with dietary restrictions.

The team handles everything with such ease, from setup to serving, making the event stress-free. They also provide bar staff, servers, and a cleanup service afterward. Everyone always talks about how amazing the food is!

We had the most wonderful experience with Tim. He was so attentive and on the ball with all the organisation and the food was absolutely fantastic. The hog roast was far superior to anything I’ve had before like this and everyone at the party has commented on how good it was. Tim and the Gipsy Hill Smokehouse team made our party an unforgettable experience.

He catered a party for us 5 years ago (before Covid) and he was the first person we thought of when we had another event this weekend.

From our first contact he was extremely helpful in advising on mix of food, options and quantities of drinks based on the event we wanted to have.

The menu options were varied and he helped us plan a broad range of items to cater for all dietary needs. The tomohawk steaks were divine as well as the salmon and chicken - everyone commented on how tasty the food was and all the sides, it was hard to pick a favourite. The desserts and quantities went down extremely well. All around top marks for the food.

The overall event setup and cleanup went very smoothly and the bar/wait staff were great - a special shoutout to Victor who was very personable and attentive to our guests and kids.

All around 5 star service, for a great local catering team - don’t hesitate to have Tim and team cater your event.

Tim and his team were very professional - we hired TGHS to provide and prepare BBQ food for a family party and it was a hit with our guests. Quantities were generous, food was tasty and everyone was satisfied with their meal. We went for the small BBQ and would love to try the full hog roast next time.
